I know this has been posted many times before, but here is one more to add to the list.

I came back to SWG because I missed killing mobs and having a lot of credits to buy whatever I wanted.
>>>I like everything else about the game the way it is now<<<, except now we cant solo mobs.

I want to solo mobs and have a ton of money like I used to.

This new “group” idea is not fun and makes me not want to hunt stuff.

This new system feels to much like heavy grinding and it is boring.

I feel sorry for people just getting into this game, grinding to Master
must be waaaaayyy to long now.

>>>I like everything else about the game the way it is now<<< Just want to be able to solo.

What is your template?

- I'll always miss pre-CU but I still have fun.

I have tried TKM/MCH
I have tried TKM/FENCER
But I am hearing the same thing from many people on these forums.

It should not take 1+ hours to destroy a Bol lair that is the same level or 2-3 above me.

1. Soloing mobs is still possible.
2. Mastering a combat profession is now easier then before.
3. If you dont like group hunting/playing with other people do not buy a Massively Multiplayer game.

-Um, have you tried to solo a seathing Bol lair at level 80, one lair takes about an hour or more.

2. Mastering a combat profession is now easier then before.
-I used to be able to get Master in anything in about 3 days, try that now.

3. If you dont like group hunting/playing with other people do not buy a Massively Multiplayer game.
-Um, you could solo for about 2 years from when the game started, this changed with CU.
-I've played Ultima Online, World of Warcraft, Anarchy Online, and SWG.

Do you have a clue as to why tens of thousands of people left SWG? Get a clue.

1 Lvl 80 Character against a mob of 5 or more Lvl 80 creatures. Hm, finishing them off in 2 minutes would be ok....

3 days of playing time or 3 days with 2-3 hours playing time in it? Since they enable the "double XP feature" every few weeks you can get master in everything within 2 days of playing time....

Why do you think these games are called MMORPG? Because of the ability to solo mobs at the same combat level within 2 minutes or because you are intended to play these games together with other people all over the world?

Do you have a clue as to why tens of thousands of people left SWG? Get a clue.

So you have exact numbers from SOE relatives? Perhaps go and get a clue why all those old SWG-Veterans are coming back from WOW, EQ2 and so on...

Some tips:

As a Teras Kasi Master:

Don't use any armor. (ATKM gets inate armor that reduces 48% of all damage)

Don't use any weapon unless you have a katarn knuckles. TK's do most damage now when really unarmed.

Use a center of being macro !! A TKM is a master at tanking but only because he/she has improved COB.

Use powerboost to get an extra 500 health.

Use armor break to weaken your enemy's armor.

Use dizzy to reduce your enemy's defenses. it will also make it hit you a bit less often.

Make melee hit (!) your auto-attack and use other specials inbetween attacks. That way you don't lose too much action.

Use knockdown to make an escape when you're in trouble. (Or sweep when your facing more than one opponent)

Buy some BE clothes that enhance healing and/or defences.

Overall tips:

Use the left over skill points to get some healing skills.

Try a ranged weapon to pull a creature that's the farthest away from all others.

Get missions that are one or two below your level. You'll get less xp but they go down a lot faster!

If you are a grinder (for FS xp) then the best melee template is master brawler, master swordsman, master Teras Kasi and healing xx4x. Master brawler gives extra speed, defences and unarmed damage. Master swordsman gives access to heavy damage specials. As a TKM you don't need armor. And you can store 1,200,000 unarmed xp, 1,200,000 2h swords xp, 200,000 1h swords xp and 300.000 combat xp. That's a total of 193,332 fs xp per trip to the village.

I think I found a good template.

MTK, CM 4/0/0/4, Fencer 0/0/0/3, Sword 0/0/0/4

I am soloing with this respec today and grouping,
which is going much better.

BTW, if a dev sees this, I dont mean to sound like a jerk.
I am happy with the way they have changed SWG, but it is
hard to get used to change sometimes.
