Why is it that on the EQ2 forums they:

• Still have Star ratings


• Can post direct link images so you don't have to waste time with clickies


• Can have image/photo style sigs

But here on the SWG forums we get nothin....except forum rankings (BTW I should be a Pilot, but I am not).

Why is it that when there is a bug or problem in EQ2, the Devs fix it as soon as they can...but in SWG the devs put the bug or problem on the back burner and just add things to the game that just break anyway.

I have stood behind SOE and the SWG devs ever since I started playing this game almost 2 years ago.
Supported them while a lot of the community was calling for blood during the CU revamp.
I truely believed that the Devs and the brass over there at SOE honestly cared about SWG....

....but I am losing hope, and faith with this team.

My attitude toward this game has changed so much in the last 2 publishes and the latest TC patches.
I am honestly starting to feel that the development staff just aren't really in to it anymore.

The Chat tabs....BIG ISSUE have been broken for some time now but it apears there is no fix in sight...its the little things like...

• Empire Day....What a cool idea, but what a lame reward tbh.


• The trophys from certain mobs....again cool idea, but the trophies are really poorly done, and really not even worth hunting for....like the spiders butt trophy...what good is it?? it lays flat (horizontally) and is more of an eyesore then a trophy


• Holograms...again cool, but I think the devs are going overkill on the whole hologram deal.


• bug after bug on top of bugs that spawn bugs....its a never ending cycle...there are things in this game that have been bugged for a long time, with no hint of a fix for it in the near future....always the same "its a known issue, the devs are working on it", but are they really?...just the other day I was greeted again by the "you start watching ....", " you stop watching ..., because they are to far" bug...I was only 8m away.


• Test Center (TC) has turned into (PC) "Preview Center", where you can preview what is going into the next pub or patch, as much as you test things and /bug them on TC it still goes live full of bugs....I have seen patches and hotfixes sit on TC for no less then 24 hours before being pushed to live, still riddled with problems....I find it hard to believe that you can fully test something in less then 24 hours before you push it live.

those are a few things.

At any rate I am losing faith with the people in which I stood by for so long, and I am walking a fine line at the moment with this game. I really hope that the Devs have not lost interest in this game and that going into work and doing thier job is not so much of a pain, that the game suffers because of it.

Please give me some hope.

I've posted a concept on how to improve Quality Assurance in SWG, it's a thread around here somwhere, but my idea is basically this:

*Lengthen the publish cycle to 4-6 weeks

*Have at least two TC-servers in addition to TC-prime

*Do all the bug/hotfixing on the TC-servers that would have perviously been done live.

*Reward the players of the TC-servers by giving them rewards on their live server, such as double xp, etc to encourage them to play the TC copy of their server during a publish cycle.

What needs to change is the "release now, fix later" policy that SOE has with SWG.
