dont wanna start a argument about jedi here but they are ment to be 1.5:1

Also i have seen a fair amount of new players then again a few did leave so maybe we have the same amount of players as before maybe not. A lot of ppl did say they were going to leave but half of them are still around so..../shrug.

To stick to the original topic and say yes - I think the CU and RotW (matched with the release of Revenge of the Sith) has really brought a lot of new blood in SWG in addition to all those that have come back thanks to the CU. I know many people in my guild who were in the early stages of Beta and played for a long while but quit due to the bloated combat system. They're now back and thoroughly enjoying themselves. And, considering I've had more fun in combat in the last 2 months then I had since launch, I personally call the CU a success.

Well I wouldn't consider it a sucess. Alot of people were lost and they only got an increase of 5k on subscriptions (250k to 255k). Breaking even is more like it.

Sounds about right.

CU = "Meet the new boss, just the same as the old boss".

Most of our current surge in subs has to do with EP3. The expansion was pushed out (along with the CU, which it DID require to make work) specifically to give something "new" to market to that crowd.

The vets lost because they hated the CU is right now TEMPORARILY outnumbered by this surge. It won't be 3 months from now. Yes, Pub 19 and 20 do FINALLY show an effort to "rebalance" the CU, and are good things, but will the EP3 noobs stay?

Probably some will. In the end, I think we enter August with less subs than we had in April. I certainly hope that not ALL future expansions are "directed content" like Kash... I want some new FREE ROAMING planets, not KOTOR3.

Unfortunalely, only with Pub 20 will the CU actually approach what it should have been on release back in April. I suspect the damage there has already been done.

i think, lot of people leave... lot of cities empty... after few weeks.. some of them come back and my friend list isn't just about 4people

and for me ? ooo yes... alredy canceled my sub.acc just i need toplay cause i preorde 1year membership... but... as longer i'm playing CU and reading those forums... i like it more and more

....and why ?

because tons of new bugs, is more fun than previeus "unbalanced" system

btw bought kashyyyk just because that webwaewren (or how it is name) location... where in every instance is full of afk grinding jedi... that's something what i really wanted to see... wow it is unbelievable ^_^

so yes.. CU is success from point of new way of play and fun

but from many bugs what you can see it is... you know.. what +i don't believe that people will stay... new people come just because they saw new SW movie... not because they are hardcore gamers.. soon will for example will be new movie BATMAN and batmanonline mmorpg game will be created.. all of them will cancel theyr accoutns and go to new game.. that's my opinion.. so we will soon if i'm correct
