Thread: Is this Tiggs an actual person and if not how can we make her one???

They actually are putting those types of things back in the game. I believe the quest is titled Screams of the syren or something like that. The imperial quest starter is in Bestine and it has been updated about every publish.

Hi all,
I am not trying to insult anyone here, although the people I refer to will feel insulted – it’s a human thing I guess, being insulted instead of stepping back an looking at oneself for a minute.
But I feel the need (as many others) to speak up, because I love this game (i.e. what it almost is) and want to play with my friends, but the Job the people in charge and the ones working for them is just terrible, terrible oh so terrible, for reasons that are so beyond my understanding it makes me mad.
In my three years following and playing this game I:
Never knew less about what’s coming and what’s going on.
Half the pleasure is in the looking forward to things. That’s why games like this build a following years before they are released.
We know nothing.
It wasn’t that good before but it’s even worse now.
If you look at the posts Tiggs did in the last two months, you have to ask what she (and TH for that matter) is doing the whole long day.
Almost all of them are formatted standard Bug requests
Then there are Patch notes (each of which has at least one error or poor phrasing that irritates people)
Then there are a dozen things about some informal gathering.
Then there are announcements about why some servers aren’t up
Then there are a very few things like: we are working at it and this is coming soon (soon being a very elastic word)
And then of course there’s the feel good Pounce, private chatter, joke things, Toons. Not that I think people like Tiggs shouldn’t be allowed to have fun, but after the work is done – which she isn’t doing AT ALL, if communicating is her Job.
The ways they screw up the simplest thing is mind-boggling, really it’s beyond my comprehension, I sometimes sit here and just can’t wrap my mind around it. I am a fairly intelligent person – but this… either its pure idiocy or on purpose – there is no middle ground I can think of as hard as I try.
Take the Veteran Rewards:
I don’t mean what they are, but how they handled it. It’s just so mean or dumb.
They tease (asking for ideas and making interesting proposals and then its holos)
So people are disappointed, big surprise (not me too much actually)
They would be just as mad if you had come out and said: Well we didn’t get the AT-PT to work. Dissappointing but honest (honest=good)
But here comes the stupid part, and now it gets weird:
They brought out new vehicles a short while back, if they had held one back maybe even the six seater – most people happy, what a surprise, wow! No money spent, no time lost.
Take the Fanfest Cap Ship Movie.
They throw it at us – no comment – none. Well except one “it was an internal demonstration – we wanted to share” That comment makes it even worse. When, why, how, ever?
Take the Smuggler “Revamp”
Beyond the initial “it will take a few publishes” no comment.
Take the next thing after the Smuggler revamp the GCW
No comment
Take the In Dev, In Concept pages
One change since April – and it changed to “coming soon”
Take the Friday features (once a somewhat interesting thing)
Weeks on end Rage of the Wookies – then one interesting thing then, some (good but old) PLAYERMADE guides.
I like many, many others are waiting for the Bomb they drop, each week and each week we are disappointed.

Removed – no comment except they were abused. The Devs are abusing us all the time.
In the last, more or less interesting Thread that Tiggs posted in (in early June) she states that she won’s say anything that is 100% sure. Well my dear, since in these games and SWG in particular nothing ever is sure, you naturally will never post anything useful, beyond damage control
The question is, if this then is the right attitude or will you start to DO OUR JOB, or if you think you are doing it, let us know how your work time is spent, because we just might understand.
Until then they should be ashamed of themselves, not letting us know the reasons for presenting the image of being a disorganized bunch of people that by now don’t even seem to care about the game.
I personally think it ain’t so, but I have no clues to support that feeling.
So what is it?
Are you just not up to the job (communicating with adults which many of us are, no disrespect for the younger crowd)
Are you just mean and uncaring (it’s real people here, whose lifetime is wasted on a dream. 2 Years and counting, if I am lucky enough to get to 70, that’s still a very long time)
Or is there something sinister in the works that you don’t have control over? (I can’t believe that a gamer like TH is doing such a crappy job and not noticing)
Sorry, I know it pointless, but I had to get it of my chest.
But if any of my fellow Players, have any ideas, however remote, how to make things better while not leaving the game:
Let me know.

Seriously, I would like to lay the blame on more than one person since development of the game is suppose to be a team effort. It should be looked upon as failure if a game cannot get to and maintain a point where clientel are satisfied to a degree. I have no intention of singling out one person to hurt their feelings or upset them although I think they should make this a conscious awareness that most of the players in the game would agree that there is tons of room for improvement in this game that has been out for now 2 yrs. which is a very long time.
Developers need to listen withtheir ears, look withtheir eyes and figure out what is best for the SWG community for that is the only place where they will find any resolve
