Ok, it went live - annoying and frustrating as it was raised during testing.
But what is even more annoying is the fact that there hasn't been any word on this - any apology, any ETA on a fix or even an acknowledgement that the problem exists.
Please could we have some word on this? Its been 24 hrsnow *2ndEdit*72 hours now *Edit*and nothing. Try being a WS with 4-6 lines to experiment on and no way of seeing where you're at until you have made the weapon - and I know its equally frustrating for a lot of the other crafters.

And therein lies the communication problem. One post on the subject would have quieted and reassured a lot of people. But Community Relations doesn't seem to feel the need to do so.
SOE, you keep promising to improve communications. I'm calling you out on your word. Get it done.

I think they are scared.. Cuz the first dev to say, "ya we fudged the bucket". Is going to get zerg rushed by like 100,000 lvl 1 crafters. I say break out the pitchforks and torches...

It makes me so sad to open the dev tracker and see that nothing has been said about this issue (which isn't only a crafting problem... try repairing stuff, stats won't update till later on), yet they have posted that they are working on a problem for bounty hunters. So many crafters have already left because of other problems like this; the overall plan would seem to be "let's remove crafting". It is time that they start treating us like paying customers... because we are.

I think that the respect level for the Devs and community relations would be greatly increased if they'd just level with us on such things.
IMHO, the recent Lucas Arts statements may have caused some tight rectums over at SOE, since it looks like LA's intent is to take things like SWG in house, and they expressed disappointment with SWG in the interview...
But, not acknowledging the obvious, that a M A J O R bug got into release even after being reported during test, and not telling us "yes, we are working hard on a fix" only adds fuel to the fire, causes customer angst, and ultimately, lost business. I really wish SOE would start being more responsible with customer relations, and more forthcoming with communications.
As I've said before, the #1 and #1A problems with SWG are:
1. Communication (hello, anyone here?)
1A. "Release NOW, Fix LATER"
If SOE would get serious and give us real action on those points instead of platitudes and lip service at fan fests, I believe that sub numbers will skyrocket.
Every day major bugs are left in live, especially without acknowledgement or reassurance that a fix is on the way is lost business for SOE. Right now, crafters can't craft in the way they should, so for them, the servers might as well be off.

I agree with your comments. I'm curious, can you either post or PM me links to these interviews? I'd like to read them.
Thanks!

Can someone explain the bug and what it causes since so far I haven't encountered it yet and am not sure what it is exactly?

The crafting bugs have been fixed on TC, should be on live servers soon
