Thread: Tiggs, Why are moderator's abusing the Delete key on In game issue debates?
Please see to controling these Mods that you got as delete police as a suggestion.
As you know Tiggs SOE prides them selves on input from there customer base. This is not happening... This mornings Delete fest is proof that Mods are being Abusive....
My guild communicats exclusively OUT of game, using our forums and teamspeak for any meaningful discussion. It's far safer.
There definately needs to be some changes in the way that customer relations are handled around here. We get maybe TWO meaningful, informative dev posts a week, if we are lucky.
The Jedi forums are very heated right now, and for good reason. There is more stuff broken for jedi, particularly low level ones, than for anything else, and that is saying something, because there are MANY broken professions right now.
If you had spent 6 months to get glowy, to get unlocks, and to FS grind only to find that thanks to the new combat system solo grinding is no longer possible (it's very unfun as well) and that you live on the terms and face BH after BH, you'd be somewhat restless as well.
If Tiggs would start handing out more information about WHAT is being done to address issues, there would be a lot less discontent on the forums. Most of the problems here are SOE's fault, because of their lack of communication.

The unfortunate thing is the overzealous moderating and banning (culminating with what was done to the GCW correspondant) has done much to DRIVE constructive posts from these boards because of fear, and to INCREASE actual flames and trolls (the wheat has been driven from these boards to other places, so all that is left is the chaff).
Tiggs needs to IMMEDIATELY review all procedures and policies with respect to how this message board is managed. I and others have many ideas which would help improve this game. We can't discuss them here without fear of account dings, which mods seem to have some sort of state highway patrol "quota system" for giving out.
We
do not delete post frequently, we remove post to a private forum. If
your post does not violate the community policies linked at the top of
every page (as well as in my signature) then there will be no problem.
Often the initial post in a thread may be ok, but 50-90% of the replies
make are not making it so that we cannot leave the thread, nor can we
sit and hand pick out every bad reply. If it is just one or 2 we do
remove those but in the Jedi forums (since you mentioned them
specifically) people do often get over heated resulting in a lot
arguing which is NOT good discussion.
MsNil's duplicate threads were removed, as are any duplicate threads
and I personally pm'd them. Just because you do not like the course of
the discussion does not mean that you restart the thread to try to
invalidate the previous one, this counts as trolling because it WILL
bring those same people back upset that you are doing so. There are
multitudes of valid, discussion threads that are never touched by a
moderator. In actuality - 99% of the threads that are removed are
removed because your community reported them for disturbance not
because a moderator just browsed through and decided to move it.
examples -
not removed, locked so that the dicussion could be viewed.
[Jedi Defenses]: Repairing Force Armor/Force Intimidate/Total Heal was removed because it was the restarted version of the thread with the first 4 lines in the post being a dismissive statement.
Master Enhancer? no its, Master Nerfed,SonG,Tigs,TH..check this some useful feedback included
there was no feedback, no information just someone using profanity and
"l33t" speak complaing that force run was nerfed, while his ISSUE may
have been valid, the manner in which he chose to display it was
not)
then 2 additional "omg they locked the post" were removed as well for
obvious reasons. We locked it (or removed it), you do not need to start
a post telling us and everyone else what they can already see. If you
have questions pm a moderator OR email [email protected] as listed
in the community relations & website forum stickies.
Lastly while a topic "your too dumb to be a jedi" is indeed
inappropriate, instead of replying with " Master your an idiot! you
should of kept your mouth shut. Because now all the forum has no
doubt....." you should just report the thread.
