I'd have done a search to find out of there are any other post about this but the search function is down, so I suppose I'll just clog theforums further with a redundant post.

Seriously, though. I've played this game since release and this has ALWAYS been a problem. Ignoring it only exacerbates the problem. No search function=more unneccesary posts to thumb through, which increases the need for a search function.

Why so suck, SOE?

I blame it on lithium... I think SOE should get a new forum provider, I hate lithium.

-I support a Galactic Civil War fought between regular, average players... Simply strict, hardlined Imperials & freedom lovin' Rebels fighting for control of the galaxy. A Galactic Civil War fought not with glowsticks or lightsabers, but with blasters, lances, and how much guts you have. A Galactic Civil War which reflects the timeline, the destruction of the Death Star, the absolute control which the Empire has and the brave Rebels trying to break up that reign... The extinction of all but a few rare and special Jedi. That my friends, is the Galactic Civil War and that is what we have to aim for.

About the only time I can get search to work is about 3 in the morning when all the sane people are asleep.

Seriously though, I have never seen any other game forums this bad. On other forums they have a 1 search per 30 seconds feature that helps to keep it from getting flooded. Maybe Lithium needs to institue something along those lines. But whatever they do, they need to do it. Not being able to search on these boards is aweful. Just look at all the repeat posts from people who can't (or claim they can't ) use the search function.

I haven't had a succesful search in well over a year. Be it noon, 3am, or 10 in the morning, I allways get the...

Is it a bandwidth problem? Poor forums coding?

More importantly ,will it -ever- work again?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...SWG has the lamest forum technology on the world wide web.

A few minutes ago I was trying to do a search on an important chat command but no dice. I suppose I could manually search through the hundreds of pages of game guide posts instead, I might find it by the time the search function is back up again. I will go to great lengths to defend the quality of SWG the game, but SWG the forum is a disgrace for something that is supposed to be run by aprofessional company. I have seen and used forums run by amateurs (and free ones at that) that operate a thousand times better than these ones.

If I may close on a slightly condescending note, I believe that Lithium was something started by a group of high school students as a class project.
