Thread: For the health of the game might SOE CALL ANOTHER CORR SUMMIT
/signed.
SOE has to do something pretty urgently. The customer-base now holds SOE in it's lowest regard since the game launched. We simply no long believe a word they say! Look at the reaction to the new epxansion. Stage 1 was disbelief as a hoax. Stage 2 was sheer hilarity as a hoax. Stage 3 was terror as the truth dawned. Stage 4 was open revolt. All this whilst we still have major game bugs and a profession imbalance. The expansion might be the best thing since sliced bread but the way it was announced (or not) was again a PR disaster.
You need to reassess your mechanisms for listening to and ACTING UPON advice from your player community. The world is watching and so far you're standing there in front of the camera with no clothes on. Call a summit, listen to your players, then decide whether SWG is really the game you wanted it to be or call a halt and finish the Star Wars Galaxies II release so we can all go home and have a rest!

I will say this is a good idea, they need to take suggestions seriously, but we must remember SOE is a business and it is inevitable it will act like one.
Yes, and good customer service, or at least the image of good customer service is something all successful businesses will kill for
And having a designatedCorr forum-based brainstorm/feedback session at least gives the players the feeling that the Devs are listening to their concerns and understand the state of tge game.
All I'm getting is that the xp changes and the Prequel, Jedicentric expansion show the Devs to be operating on a different plane to many of the players, to the extent that only a revolt got the xp changes repealed.
They need to be seen to take stock and understand what the Corrs - as both profession correspondants and as Vet players themselves - feel about the last few months, what's live now and where we'll be going forward.
It's not rocket science, it's good PR

Things are not healthy at the moment.
The Smugglers have been in open rebellion for a fortnight now.
The XP changes resulted in protests unseen on these boards leading to a massive reversal/rollback
The expansion was largley thought to be a hoax, and threatens to cause another riot.
A bold move would be for SOE to call a Corr summit to discuss the direction of the game, be seen to take player concerns seriously and restore some faith in the community relations process.
Even if locating each Corr to Austin as you did pre-CU is unreasonable, make it a Corr board event, but publicise it. Reassure the playerbase that youunderstand they have concerns and you wish to listen to them and address them where necessary.
But do something.
Think about it. I fear you're about to lose this game.
I think this is an excellent suggestion.
And what would that accomplish?
SOE is like the current gas prices. Things are only going to get worse till someone cries uncle. Guess its a good thing I drive a car that gives me up to 48-52mpg@55mph and that my account has been canceled. That extra $15 a month nets me half a tank of gas.

This is a great idea. But sadly will probably get ignored as usual.
But I'll post to keep this near the top and *holds breath* hopefully will be looked at by someone important.
(just hope they look soon, i might suffocate from holding my breath.)
