Thread: SOE sending me unreadable spam???

I just checked my email today (was advised of a silly joke about a man who loves beans) and I see something from SOE. My first thought was "YAY! Beta for Mustafar!" Then my dissapointment arrives...it's unreadable spam...
It appears as gifs which are unreadble. Now, I'm not sure what this is or what/why I'm getting it but the curiosity exists.
Is this relating to the new expansion or is it just another company spamming me with useless email trying to tell me they've done great things?

While there's a few which actually show text, having fonts colored brown on a bronze colored back ground is no better then the brown fonts on the black background.
Can anyone tell what this is other then an unsolicited advertisement?

Looks like a date copy of the SWG newsletter - which is someone you probably signed up for during Fan Club/Forum registration. I recieved a cope of that today in my old email account and I couldn't view the images. I was, however, able to read the text by highlighting it.

You've go to be kidding me! Are you saying that even their emails are broken and require "users" to establish a "workaround" inorder to experiance their content?

I didn't have to highlight my email copy. What email program/site were you using? I know sometimes the site assign's a 'background' to the emails which could cause reading text troublesome based on the format the emails are sent to.

The newsletters always show up as dark text on dark background requiring highlighting to read. This is using a web-based email (through comcast) or using MS Outlook. The latest newsletter was similar for me. The text was not readable without highlighting and the graphics would not display, even though they always have in the past.
