Thread: The style of moderating in the forums

Hossa,

I play on Ahazi so I visit the Ahazi forums a lot. Those of you who have been there know the usual drama there.

Well, in the last weeks I've noticed that many threads are deleted because of flaming. I can understand that some posts should not be tolerated in the forums and I appreciate moderation but I have one thing to say:

Very often when a longer page thread is deleted we lose many very good posts. Constructive, positive posts. I'd prefer if moderators would rather lock threads or delete single messages instead of just removing the whole thread. It might be easier I know, but we lost so much just due to one or two guys flaming each other.

Thanks

Note that when they delete a single message, all messages that replied to that message are also deleted.

That is most likely why you lose good threads along with the flaming ones. Make sure to reply to the original post and your message will be safe. But if you reply to a flame your post will get estinguished along with the flame.

And if an entire thread is deleted you can always PM a Moderator to put the clean posts back.

That would be correct.
