Thread: Idea for Skill Point revamp. Probably OT

hi,
I have an idea for Revamping skill points (we all know how much of pain they are). Apart from giving us all 600+skill points (unrealistic) I propose the following:-
We all start with 250 Skill points and this never changes (not that I have noticed).
As we know each Profession has a Novice then four pilars then master like so;
Master x
4 4 4 4
Novice x
For starting professions Novice is 15 Skill points and each pillar is 14 Skill points with Master being 6 (the exception being Politician, but this is a Pseudo-profession IMO) this makes 77 Skill points for each starting Profession. Each Elite/Hybrid is 63 Skill points.
I propose that When you Master a starting Profession you get 50 percent of the Skill points back from each pillar(28 back) and when you Mast and Elite/Hybrid you get 10 percent from each pillar (6 back)
Example:-
Existing system
Master scout 77
Master Brawler 77
Master Artisan 77
Tot SP =231 leaving 19 free (What can you do with 19 SP?)
New system
Master scout 49
Master Brawler 49
Master Artisan 49
Tot SP =147 leaving 103 free
Master Armoursmith 57 leaving 46 free for getting half another skill.
I feel this is a more realistic way of working the Skill points.
