With the numbers from the www.petitiononline.com and all the complaints being made in these forums I call upon SOE to create a poll to get the true numbers of people that love and hate the cu. I call upon them to give us our voice so we dont have to go outside of these forums or your webpage. Prove to us that you care about us as customers, veterans, subscribers and even in all likely hood a few employees. I would really like to know what a poll on the login screen would say might even be able to have comments as well. If SOE does agree to this I also call upon all subscribers to mind their language, there are better ways to express disappointment than cursing and accusing. I myself use some things for shock value but cursing just gets the rest of your point buried. I think that we too as subscribers have the right to enjoy ourselves but we have the responsibility to police ourselves too. Please police yourselves. If there is a poll help to make it an honest poll. The poll is really the responsibility of SOE but since they are a corporation they are allowed to stifle information should they choose. We are asking that not happen.

I'm currently reading a book about MMORPG creation and administration right now that was written with the help of about 20 well known developers of popular MMORPG's, including a couple of SOE's own. I came across a paragraph in the chapter regarding "Balancing Your Game" that sent chills up my spine. I will paraphrase it concisely for you:
"The worst way of getting feedback is from your forums. At best they represent 10% of your most hardcore powergamers."
That about sums up the treatment all of us "whiners and complainers" have gotten. I could shoot holes in that statement all day long, starting by pointing out that I am far from a powergamer, yet I am on the forums frequently. When I play the game, I play not to achieve, just to play and experience the game, and to hang out with the gang. No powergamer here. Sigh.
But how this relates to your post is that if they subscribe to the paraphrased quote above, and it looks like they do, ANY poll on the forums is simply brushed aside as the response of a "radical fringe element that only knows how to whine".

Absolutely! That is why I still hang around the forums. Hoping against all hope that some wonderful disease spreads that causescertain software development companies to actually share the data that proves their customers like certain changesor to proceed more cautiouslyif such data is in fact fiction.
If that is not a dream, I have no idea what is.

I hate to be the jerk here, but all of you hardcore Star Wars fans know it is the truth. Think about how many games Lucasarts has come out with over the years...
And then think about how little it would take to bring those games back today, and make them playable, and even more enjoyable now, than they were when they was first released.
And then you will find out a harsh reality... Lucasarts has NEVER cared about their gaming division. They milk it for all they can get out of it, and then let it go to the dogs. That is what is happening here...
If Lucasarts turns this game over to SOE, of course they are gonna make it look like a knockoff of their own game. That way their devs, and their employees can work on the game, add new content, etc...
They dont have to hire anyone from Lucasarts that has been involved since day1 or nothing, they can just slowly but surely turn it into something easier for them to manage, and when it falls below their limits of server traffic or whatever, they will throw it away like a cheap shoe...
I got a bad feeling that this is the end folks... We got Lucasarts participating right now to coincide with the release of episode 3, and after that? Kiss this game goodbye folks... Cause the new content we keep asking for, the patches, fixes, etc we keep asking for? Forget it...
