I would like to see the advanced search feature come back. The reason I ask is that often a person will ask a question that has been answered very recently, but may not be common enough to be in the FAQ. Forum communities get really annoyed when they answer the same question over and over, and often tell the questioner to use the search feature. For this reason, I hope the search feature restored soon, before forum communities are flooded with common questions, or are unable to find important posts that inadvertently were not bookmarked.

If the search feature is not currently restricted to subscribers, that might be one way to keep it from overloading the forums.
