Thread: Final respec is a BUG, not an ISSUE!!! Something must be done SOE

How the bug affected me...
Before combat upgrade I was a single mastery jedi beginning the Knight trials.
I used respec to try out multiple templates. I even grinded out the negative xp to try out a double mastery template with two full branches...
I decided to settle on LS 0400, Mpowers, Heal 4000, Enhancer 4004, Defender 0040
The Friday before respec ended I decided to use respec to test out a LS area attack, so I respeced to LS 0420, Mpowers, Heal 3000, Enhancer 3004, Defender 0020
I got NO warning that was my final respec... I NEVER once clicked on NEVER in the respec window... I always payed close attention to the window to make sure it was not myFinalrespec
Now I am forced to grind out 4.4 million xp because of a BUG...![]()
Reason why Developers won't acknowledge it is a bug and why they won't fix it
When the devs wrote the code for final respec they had it delete the stored respec points.
If they acknowledge that it is a bug,
that means they will have to go in and either fix the coding for each individuals respec... (PROGRAMMERS nightmare)
OR
they will have to handle each case on an individual basis and crosscheck each account with backups of the servers (CSR nightmare)
this is why they refer to it as an "issue" and not a bug, because if they acknowledge it was a bug that means that they messed up
Possible Solutions
1. Admit it is a bug and apologize to the customers so it's not anotherexcuse on a long list of reasons to cancel accounts
(extend Double experience for another couple weeks or give us triple experience for 1 week)
2. Fix the respec, give us our respec points back and allow us to do our 1 final respec
3. Tackle each csr ticket individually and give us the experience necessary to get back what we lost
Either way they need to do something because we should not suffer for a bug that we had no control over
If this total disregard for thier paying customers continues, I for one will be canceling both of my accounts

If you notice all my attempts to speak to a supervisor have been ignored.
If this was a "real" business and wasn't allowed to speak to a supervisor I would be seeking legal council immediately
I expected no less, and made sure all my chars were in their "final" templates days before the respec was slated to end.
Sucks though about how many have gotten burned. If you are on Bloodfin, seek out NREP if you are rebel, we'll help you grind it back.
Devs... Csrs... anyone????

I found this person's ticket in a post on the jedi forums...
I am praying this is true and if so, will we get our banked respec points back too ?? Since it was reset to 0 ??
If Both cases are true, the soe/customer relationship will be back on the road toa healthy recovery, but communication is the key!!!

wont someone do something about this? ever?
i heard of ppl that got experience in exchange of lost skills. all we need is a CSR that really understand our situation.
everyone (please see patch notes as well as the news page) if you had a
problem with that respec contact customer service. If you failed to
allot your points properly when you were respecing due to the
anticipation of another respec they may not be able to help you.
