Thread: Is there a way to clear all chatroom subscriptions?

I'm present in about 6 rooms whether or not I wish to be, simply because I once used them. I can go in and leave or delete the channel, and as soon as I log in my alt (same account), I'm back in all of the rooms. Surely there is a way to unsubscribe myself from every channel except the defaults (spatial, combat, planet, auction, guild, and instant messages)?

Resetting defaults on a tab doesn't do this, either.

i have the same problem, would be nice to know how to leave them permanently again

Try this:
Drag the specific chat room tab away from the others to a different part of the screen. Then click on the X in the upper right corner of the box to close it down. Do NOT right click on the tab heading and choose 'Delete tab' option, click on the X.
Then log off. Wait for the 10-15 minutes for your toon to fully load out of the world, then log back on. The chat box should be gone.
This may not actually remove you from the subscription, but I'm sure it will at least remove the chat window. So you'll never need to worry about the annoying window at least.

I deleted all of the extra tabs and then made sure I was logged out of / had destroyed each room and then closed my client. That seems to have done the trick for both toons.
