I think there should be an /assist type command in space

i think there is a targetting command for "target ship attacking target", if you map it

Why, so you can /follow your wingman, tag a few hits on a foe with /assist, and get full experience while AFK? Getting a share of Space Combat xps just for being on an MP ship is bad enough. I don't say that to be rude, but that's exactly what it would get used for 95% of the time. Space is largely immune to AFK blight, let's keep it that way huh?

I disagree.../assist would be extremely valuable in space in wingman situations. Maybe you don't think so, but I don't think it would give AFKers much of an edge...it would still be nearly impossible to hit a target if you're following your leader.

No, /assist would be really valuable, especially in PvP, to help squadrons stay organized.

I'm not saying it wouldn't have potential good uses, I'm saying the potential for abuse outweighs them.

Truth be told, in a twitch based game, command aids like this would mitigate the need for piloting skills, and that shouldn't be allowed. Practicing good spatial awareness skills negates any "need" for this commandin most cases. Good wingmen stay near enough and aware enough of each other that they can see and help even in a furpile.

I have to agree. It is an inconvience to not have slash commands for targeting actions, but I think it is definately for the best overall.

Maps keys all you want, but don't let macro'ers start picking apart the skill involved in space combat the way it has been done to ground combat. Please.

we really need an /assist type command. Unless there is oneI don't know about. It would be sooooooo helpful.

uh why?

just target your friend - if you fire a special it will hit his target, if you toss a heal it will heal him, if he targets another group member and you toss a heal it will heal his target
