Grinding my full temp for the 3rd time and i know i would buy one for 5-10 bucks a pop. EX. You got a veteran player whos tired of his temp but doesnt wanna grind a new one, he considers quitting out of boredom. You sell him a respec and he respecs to something he will find new and enjoyable and continues his subscription. I know you can authorize respecs on a account to account basis so why not sell them that way. I buy one, I type /respec, and instead of the " you are not authorized to respec your character" I get to use the system on a one time basis. 30 min later i dont like my temp guess what? I buy another respec! Its a goldmine! And it would add something exciting to your toons to be able to pay to change them around at will. Thats my two cents.

Maybe a better solution would be to do like what is done with pilots who drop a squadron and goes for another...

Mastering enough combat to get to CL80 entitles you to double xp should you COMPLETELY DROP a tree to grind a new one...

Another alternative would be to make a token respec selectable every 6 months after the first year as a vet reward.

LOL it would destroy THIS game? Are you joking? They destroyed this game long before i came along with my posts. And explain how it would destroy the game?Im curious to hear your explanation on how it would destroy a game thats losing 100s of players by the month.Enlighten me on the downside of buyable respecs. Last i checked you still had to grind out the professions before you respec'd them to something else. So an end to grinding ..I dont think so!

ok now times that by 5-10 bucks a pop. The idea would be for people with full temps jedi/non jedi to fully enjoy it. if your gonna spend 100 bucks on respecs then your got way too much money to play a game. The money issue will deter people from doing it that way unless like i said you got mommys credit card to blow on respecs.

we're talking real money not swg credits here. And if you need proof of all the players leaving go to any major city compared to 6 months ago. Or go on your server board and count all the farewell posts. And there are people who leave who dont even post on forums. Bet if they could have bought a respec to switch to something else then they might have stuck around.

I grinded my Jedi template 3 times on pikets myself. And before you knock the idea maybe you could add to it with a good idea like one purchase every 15-30 days. Which would keep grinding a vital part of skill progression. Gotta grind it before you can respec it...

Yes, you do have to grind before you can respec

MANY people grinded, to 1111, then repseced up, saving millions of experience, and skipping alot of grinding

thats not how respecs should be used, but its how alot of people use them...

If you can respec... Then how do you learn your moves? What do you work up to? If you only had to grind the 2 1/2 proffections and then just jump to the FOTM club then SOE would only get 10 or 15 buck for the respec while if you had to regrind the professions it would take you more time if you are a normal gamer ( and yes , less if you were a power gamer). Where would be the social inter-action if you never need to go hunting ? People complain how the cities are empty. No one would help anyone else or need help.

Respec is just lazy and what do you have to be proud of if you could just respect to the new profession. Would you even know how to Hunt a bounty as a bounty hunter if you never did it in training, would you be the dumb butt NOOB asking, "How do I hunt Jedi?" Then being mad when they pop your virgin butt? You are suppose to be learning your template and profession when working up the skill. Grinding and respecting does nothing to help you enjoy your choosen profession. Where is your pride and honor? Are you so me me me that you want everything handed to you if you have the money. Do not make us americans look any worse then we do now.
