In case live chat doesn't get fixed, I was wondering if it is possible to change names during a character transfer (galaxy to galaxy, same account) even if the original name is available on the destination galaxy.

In other words, you have to change names if your name isn't available on the destination galaxy, but can I change names even if the (old) name is available?

Answer is probably no, but if you want to insure the chance to change your name, create a character on the server you plan to move to with the same name of the toon you plan to move there, then delete the character ASAP. They don't cycle out names right away like most MMO's do, they keep them in the system for atleast 10 days and up to 14 days (usually this works against you, and is a pain, but in your case, should work out).
