The fine print seems to say :
You must activate your trial account key on or before 11:59 pm (PST) on August 31, 2004 or you will not be eligible to participate in the trial program
New players in this game right now will only worsen it's repuation and put people off who otherwise might have stayed.

I disagree. I would love to see new players. I've been helping many of them and they've been a blast. I've met some really nice new people who are having a great time.
Why do you continue to post and play if you hate it so much?

Ya know, when I think back to when I started playing the game there were a ton of bugs. But I was too much of a newbie to know it! I was to busy grinding away by killing ku-pa's or meatlumps (and running mind you!) to notice the fact that the city I lived in had a statue that was bugged and wouldn't rotate properly.
It'll be the same thing here. The reason, I would bet, that they pushed the CU out early although there are many bugs in it is because it HAD to be out prior to the final Star Wars movie. All the new people are now joining the new SWG, and will love it just like we loved the old one. The only difference is that SWG will retain at least half of the old SWG players, eventually making it a more profitable and more populous game.
Bring on the newbs! Heck, it'll be nice being one of the rich and experienced people! hahaha

they wouldn't have anything to compare the game to and would likely love it more than any of us
