Mine was changed without any warning, so how can I choose one that I want? Is this even possible?

I assume it would be possible to do, but up to this point, it has been policy that they do not.

If you chose a poor name it could at any time be changed, you can request via pm that you get one of your choosing if it is changed, but this is not guaranteed.

In general, unless your name is in violation of station naming policy (which the filter cannot always catch) we do not change names.
