I tried to sign up for the CU Beta, which said I should get a comfirmation email with a code that would (as far as I can make out) make me eligible to be one of those picked for the Beta, but I never got any mail, even though I went to a page with a button that said 'Send Email' (which, of course, I pressed a few times).

Is this closed now, or did I do something wrong, or what?

I think its setup to be that way. Samething happen to me but it was many many months ago when I signed up maybe close to 4 months or longer. I don't think the beta starts until Febuary or later. I think they are still in the development phase from the news that came out earlier this month. If you get accepted you will get emailed the confirmation code. I hope this helps.

You will want to check your fan club email you can do so by clicking on the fanclub link on the swg home page (this is different than your station account email address for some users) if its incorrect then simply put a new email address in

GarVa, I received an email when I did this but it didn't have the confirmation code in it. The email basicly said you will be sent the confirmation code if accepted into beta and not to reply to the email. Is this how it's supposed to work? I assumed it was because the testing was down the road sometime, it was a while back when I signed up. Thanks for the help.

Confirmation code email and beta signup acknowledgment are two different things

If you have never signed up for the fan club before you will get a code email...

If you signed up for the beta you will be sent a confirmation that you have signed up.

IF this is not what you are getting please paste the contents of the email in this thread (remove your station name if it is visible). Thanks!

Thanks. I'll try to get home at lunch today and get the email contents on here. I signed up for the Fan club back in 8-2003 when I setup my forum account. It wouldn't let you post if you didn't. Is this the same fan club you are referring too? I did change my email address when the forums changed and you had to verify email address. The email address I had on here had been disabled for a good year, just forgot to update my profile here. Anyways i'll see about getting that email on here for you to see. Thanks again!

I think when you click on the link to register for the CU beta is the same page that has the Register Access Key button is on. I didn't even have to fill out an application, its kinda confusing.The way its setup is like you have to have that confirmation code to register for beta. But I receive that email so I assumed I'd get a confirmation code if accepted into the CU beta. Then I could use it at theregister link. Sorry but like I said its kinda confusing. Maybe you should go check it out.

OK, Garva, I finally got it, but there is no account key. I guess this correct, but the wording on the page http://swgbetareg.station.sony.com/reg_complete.jsp is somewhat ambiguous, since it talks about the 'next step' and so on.

Here is the text:

Application Complete

Thank you for your application to the Star Wars Galaxies® Combat Upgrade Beta. You should have just received the Beta Registration Confirmation email. If you have not received it, please click here.

Next step: Begin your participation in the Star Wars Galaxies Combat Upgrade Beta by registering your account key. Account keys are provided to users in a beta invitation email.

If you are selected to participate in the Beta, we will send you an email in the near future with additional information and instructions. Return to the Star Wars Galaxies homepage.

The 'next step' should eliminate the 'Begin your participation...' sentence, since it implies that this will occur as soon as you get the mail.

I got the email after sigining up,but i never got in the JTL beta..

Ah yes it may be a little confusing based on what the page says but it does mean that when you get the beta you will proceed when sent a key for it, sorry for the confusion and I will let them know that they could clarify it a little better!
