Thread: Pasting from word to this board = no go

i type up stuff in word usually if tis a long outline but pasting it onto these boards...and its goes bye bye.
it gives me a "style =" error that i must remove and yet i dont have that typed anywhere in that post...anyone have this problem?

I've seen Garva say it was because of special characters Word uses, so no it will never work. Try using Notepad or Wordpad, these both come with any Microsoft operating system. Garva said these will work. If you need a spell checker you can try to use Word for this and do a Paste special into Wordpad, use the text only feature. Then copy it from wordpad into here. This might work but not sure. Good Luck

he's right.
But you can copy from word to notepad or wordpad then copy to the forums. That does work

Word uses the style tag to format text, but these boards don't allow that tag to be used. You can see the tag if you use the "Edit as HTML' choice.

Which you guys disabled you mean ![]()
At least it seems TH and Tiggs have stopped pasting from Word (Style tags work for them)... it made copy/paste such a chore.
