I'm on Eclipse and I've lost over 100 elite points because I actually did what you asked and attempted to try out the CU with various templates.
If you don't roll everyone's total earned skill points back, you are going to successfully make even the ones who were willing to give this a shot angry enough to cancel.
This needs to be rectified, asap.

OFE. I'm on eclipse as well and lost a ton of elite points.

infinity here and i lost all my combat skills too not sure how many points but i had
master pistol

Apples and oranges.
Not only was Chimaera converted three times but they had to use a backup of friday april 22th for the last two conversions. That is why Chimaera charactersare getting their skills back to right before the CU conversion. And the CSRdothat manually, ticket by ticket.
The losing skills while respecing is something all galaxies have and that'll get fixed by the Dev's.

i'm on Kettemoor galaxy or whats left of it and i lost approximately 80 elite points. pretty much putting an end to me killing anything. And the response i got from customer service was, basically the devs and them havent figured out a way to restore the lost points and its something they will be looking into when its possible. So basically when they get to this issue it will be beyond the point where they can help me and i will have wasted 2 years of play. So for those of you who lost urs to, at this point there doesnt seem much help for us to get our points back. and i refuse to start over again, especially since i had just finished my last village quest and was finishing the grinding to start jedi. I wish the best for u in getting ur points back
