Its easy, all ya gotta do is click "Reply" on any message that will let you, make up your sig using the WYSIWYG editor then click "edit as HTML", highlight the code, cut and copy to the sig box! Thats how I did mine, and it worked beautifully.

Have you tried the sig againin Internet Exploder? I had the same issue in firefox...I edited in IE then cut and pasted into Firefox, and got the "You dont have permission..." message, but when I pasted and saved into IE it worked perfect. It annoys me that SOE would pick a buggy, unsupportive system for the forums but, hey, its SOE.Cheers!Elo
Not working in IE either. :-(
Another post suggested it is to do with sloppy HTML which may be true since it's the first time I've used it in about 10 years.
I'll try clean it up later when I'm bored.
I'll post ever if I get it fixed.
Thanks

I'm getting same problem with "not authorized to save simple HTML" and I'm using IE.
Anyone have a fix?

"You don't have permission to have simple HTML in your signature."
I don't see any WYSIWYG editor when I reply to a message. And there is no option to "edit as HTML" anywhere.
Anyone have any ideas?

Doh!. Just realised that the WYSIWYG editor doesn't work in the Opera browser....same for the "Edit as HTML" option.
However, I still cant figure out why I dont have permission to have HTMl in my sig.

OK, I've double checked my HTML code and it seems fine. Either I'm missing something in the HTML, or I truly don't have permission to use HTML (yet simple line breaks seem to be allowed)
Any HTML experts out there who would be willing to look at my sig html are see if it is ok?

Ok, I finally got it to accept my HTML Sig...I had a '/br' instead of a 'br' ....Doh!
But now this stupid forum engine is putting everything on separate lines and the last part of my sig is completely missing!
This has got to be the most annoying forum engine I've ever come across.

I finally got it fixed! Woohoo.
OK, a few things to note.
1. This forum is EXTREMELY fussy about HTML. I suggest you use a good HTML editor check your code. Try Websphere or Dreamweaver.
2. All closing tags must be used and in the correct order...ie 'bold' 'italics' 'text here' 'italics' 'bold'
3. When adding your signature code, the forum auto adds several line breaks at the start. It also adds a line break at the end of every line of html, so make sure all of your html code is on 1 line
4. Your sig can be no more than 6-8 lines (depending on text size it seems)
5. Styles are not allowed.
