Thread: A respectfull ltr to SOE's community relations...or lack thereof
Tiggs,
I'm sure you perform your job well and meet all expectations from your employer. The issue is if you're spending the hours cut&pasting the posted complaints/issues as they arise from a publish you should also be creating a secondary list to be compiled specifically to be presented back to the gaming comunity.
Creating a secondary list to include information such as "The Communities Concerns with Publish-##" should be acknowledged as a valid attempt to support and regain the faith that most of theconsumers are loosing inthis product. Communicating at this level with the player base is completely nescesary and is of an increasingly urgent matter. Reinerating these concerns which had been voiced by the consumers who were willing enough to spend their time in posting an idea, concern or topic which is being reported by you will assist in your position of CommunityRelations.
While we're not asking for you to list specific bugs or exploits which are going on we are, _AGAIN_, having to ask for proper and effective"communication" relating these issues. Summarizing the concernsgives credit to the players toallow for an understanding thatthey are not being alienated which in turn will allow you to succeed in the greatest task incustomer service, "bridging". If you are unable to bridge the gap with your consumer base via effective communicationthe impact upon your product will continue to be dire regardless of other efforts made by the development staff to rectify their concerns. (i.e. Concern about queud skills/abilities not adhering to global timers)
