Thread: GarVa = PWN
When faced withnegative criticism about your product, doyou:
a) appologize
b) accept the constructive criticism and rectify the problem with your product
c) offer something extra as a goodwillgesturefor the inconvenience you've caused
or
d) threaten those giving negative criticism with denial of service, andproceed to make all negative criticism disappear so that you may pretend it never happened.
Not too many companies have the nerve to pull of d).

Wow..... I checked out GarVa's recent post history, and just about every post on his first 2 pages areclosing down posts, and or threatening to ban/suspend troublemakers.
SCORE ONE FOR THE HOME TEAM! I'm glad someone is finally stepping up to stop the endless banter that goes on it some of the other forums.
I was referring more to him shutting down posts where someone offers a valid point, then some fool comes into the post, attempting to hijack it byt obviously trying to enrage the others in the post.
Like when someone offeres a very well written and thought out post concerning why they think the public has an issue with the Jedi. Some Jedi will post to that thread in an intelligent way, and be defensive about. Others will post negative remarks, insults, threats, etc.
I'm referring to THOSE posts.... It's about time one of the moderators stepped up and started getting control of that.
As far as the negativity concerning the recent publish and THOSE posts... I've seen some of them, and from what I've seen, they are well thought out, eloquent, non-threatening, just someone's opinion. They were removed because, dissent is like wildfire. I may keep a level head about something and offer a well written testement to it. However, others often do post nonsense in the form of "SOE sucks" "they ruined the game, and it sucks" etc... none of that is needed.
As far as GarVa's recent post about the development team becoming agitated with all the "nonsense" posts about how the game is fallen from it's high haunches? I 100% agree with what he said. There is no need for 100s of posts saying the exact same thing. However, if that's the public opinion, they should do so in a way that will not further aggravate an already inflamed situation.
While I am not personally agree with some of the things that have been added/changed in the game over the years, I have not and will not resort to over exaggerated and angry posts about the issues. I send my comments to the forums for engaging discussion with the player base, not to start a war.

You mean score one for the Dev's deleting everyones discontent. This sort of reminds me of the CU. You know, when THOUSANDS of players (litterally) spoke up about the Combat Upgrade and the Dev's released the S.S. oh I mean the CSR's on the forums to delete anything negative about this game? If they want to stop the banter and the mindless posts then fix the game, dont keep sweeping everything under the carpet.
QFE! (1st ever of mine)
How are they going to really know how we feel when all of our feelings are being deleted.....
