Thread: Please give us a response, in regards to folks who havent been able to merge SWG into all access!

Ok,here is the deal, I'm a6 year EQ1 customer, EQ2 came out, and I took advantage of the station access to have the two under the same subscription. Meanwhile I'm also a 2 year SWG customer, a few months after I created my all access they came out with the deal where SWG could be in it, BUT, my swg has a slightly varying station name than my EQ, soooooo they wont let me merge my swg into my all access. They tell me that the ONLY way I can do it is to buy the game again, and pay for a character transfer. Ummmmm this is unacceptable, firstly because my char is force sensitive and cant be transferred, secondly because I refuse to lose 2 years worth of badges and quest status, and thirdly, no way I should have to lose my character's name, and fourthly, I should have to pay to lose all that????


I have spoken in many many threads on this issue, I have sent emails to Mr. Smedly himself, who PROMISED he was going to take care of this issue, and he most ceratinly wanted to allow us folks who are in this situation to merge. He said he had a meeting set up, that was about 7-8 months ago, and we have been swept under the rug. Any attempts here to get help have ended up being totally ignored. I feel I'm being taken advantage of by a money greedy company who knows of my situation and is sitting there laughing, saying, oh look we get her all access subscription in addition to her SWG subscription fees, BONUS for us! Let's keep scalping her while the other folks who were fortunate to have used identical station names get to take advantage of this offer.


Well, I have canceled my All access and both my EQ1 and EQ2 accounts, and until sony will allow me to merge, I have no plans to reinstate them. I certainly would love to play these games, but it's highly unfair that I should have to pay for my SWG seperatly, so on principle I have no choice.


I have this question for billing, and for the devs.....Why can't my station name on my SWG account be cahnged to that of my All access? You can clearly see thatall the accounts oin questionwere created billed too and owned by me since their creation. Why do we have to pay forcharacter transfer's and end up with hacked up characters?


I am asking for help here, I want this resolved, and I dont want the same lame excuse of character transfers, it doesn't take a rocket sciemtist to figure out how to go into the billing and change a station name does it? Or even to come up with a fair character transfer where your character is moved completely INTACT, lit SHOULD simply be a mtter of copying a data file and pasting it into a new account should it not????? I'd be willing to buy the software again if this kind of transfer was made available to me, but not with the current character transfer policies that are in place.


Cant teh devs work on a better chracter transfer service? Can't billing simply edit the station name for me? I KNOW someone can do something for me! I'm willing to comprimise and even pay a reasonable fee, I just dont want my character hacked up, and I want to be able to have my SWG in the all access with my two eq!


Is this so unreasonable, or am I going to be ignored yet again?

A friend of mine actually did the same thing. It especially hurts if you had accounts before station access became available. If I hadn't known before I purchased other Station Access games, I may have done the same thing.
