The enormity and scope of ninja nerfing, bugging, and unbalancing is unprecedented in the history of publishes.

I'm not going to rant, I'm simply going to tell you very seriously that I have never heard my guild of veterans so dissatisfied, so fed up, and so disallusioned with SWG than we are today. The entire discussion, all day long, as various layers of changes with the publish have been revealed, is defeatist and disgust, including closing accounts (from many who have never come close to saying this,) to the merits of other games that we should be playing.

It never fails that when you throw a fast one at the players, its usually just when we're getting satisfied with the status quo, and this time, you've taken the cake and more.

You've done some serious damage here.

After taking a new toon thru Legacy to level 64, and another CL80 to CL90, I've concluded that this game is bereft of value, and no MMORPG can survive so many role and economic devestations.

I am hearing similar in my guild as well. Only 2 other guildmates are online right now (9:45pm EST) when we usually have 10-15 on by now. Many logged in earlier today to see the changes and I've received numerous emails from them, including some now seriously considering cancelling accounts as the content of the game is no longer playable or enjoyable for them.

This level of unbalancing must be corrected and soon.

I just wanna point out that you're not a gangster because nobody likes you.
If you're anti-gun, will you think twice when a burgler has his to your face and you can't do anything about it?
Some people define hell as infinate repetition. SWG must be hell.

This is SWG's darkest hour. Our guild uses voice coms, and this describes the nature of discussion that has gone on since publish 24 was unleashed on an unprepared and uncommunicated player base:

  • Never before heard play of other games, coordinating setting up our SWG players and guildmates in other game's servers and character-types, namely _ o _ ,(insert single character to fill in the blanks,) but some other games, too.

  • Specific plans to dimish gameplay with SWG, which accounts were going to be cancelled, and timeframes that would be allowed by these individuals for SOE to remedy Publish 24 nerfs and inbalances, or all accounts would be cancelled - but that at a minimum, certain accounts of their total accounts would be cancelled, and their SWG time reduced, or on probation. This from the senior people driving guild activity, crafting, and all positive things SWG, who have never uttered such things in the past, and were even trying to maintain positive morale during the CU.

  • Specific lists and discoveries of the debacles of Publish 24 were the ongoing talk - the nerfs, the negative and derrogatory affects of the publish, the errosion of any appreciation or enjoyment of the game, and with Publish 24 a lightspeed advancement of that errosion, etc. Very little else discussed, other than the new discussion around starting other games, and doing so while on voice channels.

Very distressing. This is indeed a dark day for the future of SWG.

And yet My guild has started to get reactivated lately with veterans coming back and new members joining. Change is like that. Some will welcome it others will resist it. If you are honestly not having fun in this game you certainly should move on. But some of us still do enjoy it. The reason you do not see more people in support of the game on the forums is, quite frankly, we are playing it.

I'm still there night after night. The 80-90% of my guildmates are not. I hear what they're saying, I agree with them, and await better management of the SWG project, and the ability to enjoy enhancing and developing my roles in the SWG universe without having SOE undo my efforts with their next publish and their next, because they shoot from the hip and focus on vainly trying to balance profession against profession, instead of dealing with GCW and battleground game design that has us appropriately, as mezzers, tanks, Jedi, ranged, etc. working appropriately together in multiplayer (5v5 or more) combat as it should be. Instead SOE focuses on trying to vainly bring 1v1 balance for duelers, resulting in nerfing, destroying roles, invalidating efforts, credits and time spent, and rewriting the game because they can't plan and design past their noses.

Thanks for trying to invalidate the valid issues of thousands of players, sampled by our server's experience, but I'm not buying.

Publish 24 is still active, and 80-90% of my guild is still in haitus in other games.

The economy is trashed, since nobody wants to develop their toons with CA's and AA's now, or otherwise waste credits, time, and effort on developing toons when there's an utter lack of integrity in SOE's designs to respect the continuity and aforementioned credits, time, and efforts.

Here today, gone tomorrow should be how we veiw our roles in SWG it appears. So should SOE view our subscriptions. Publish 24 was the straw for a LOT of people.
