Thread: Font Problems on Forum

I need to know if I am alone with this problem. I've been away from the forums for about two weeks, and when I came back a few days ago, I noticed that some of the fonts on the site have changed for me from the default (Arial) to what appears to be Courier. I'm not an expert on fonts, but Courier is all squishy and hard to read, so I think it's it.

I went into my Preferences: Display Settings, resavedto the default, Arial, reloaded and refreshed the site, and still have this other font showing up in terrible places, most frustratinglyin subpostings, that is, when I click to read people's posts, and in certain title lines. As I sit typing this, my font is Arial, but theheader that says "Shonami : Log out . My Profile : Dashboard : Help You Have No Messages," the header with "Star Wars Galaxies Forums: Support & Community, etc.," and the "When writing your message, remember to keep the language clean." box are all in what I assume is Courier. So are lots of other items.

This is driving me crazy because the font is so, sodifficult to read. If it were anywhere else but in people's posts, I could deal with it, but the posts are what I'm here for. And I never had this problem before. It had to have happened in the past two weeks.

Any advice or help to fix this matter would be much appreciated. I'd also love to hear if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

And like I said, I already did the Preferences: Display Settings thing. Didn't help.

Thank you!

Go to Internet Explorer's Tools menu. Select Internet Options. On the first tab, click on Accessibility. Put a checkmark in the box marked "Ignore font sizes specified on web pages." In your specific case, also put a checkmark on "Ignore font styles specified on web pages."

This will change your overall web browsing experience, but it will also force these forums to read the way you want them to read. Other options on the Tools - Internet Options menu will allow you to specify fonts and font sizes.

And the best skin to browse these forums in seems to be the original Star Wars Galaxies skin.
