Thread: Are there any plans to open a few new servers after the CURB ?

I think it would be fun and interesting, to see a few new servers opened after the CURB and other changes are completed... it would help breath life back into this game and allow many players a fresh new start without worry about dealing with Jedi for many months =) Its something a lot of players have wanted... so I ask, is there any hope to seeing new servers to offer the players a fresh start even as a possibility??

There are underpopulated servers already, and the CURB will be more than enough of a fresh start. Why devote morehardware to yet another underpopulated server? Make a post CURB toon somewhere like Wanderhome, I bet they'd welcome you.

Lots of people playing EQ requested new servers before a major update or expansion release. SOE listened and several times added a few new servers. Now they are consolidating servers, beginning with all four of the PvP servers into one. I know, alot of this is attributed to attrition to WoW and EQ2, butsome is related to the almost flat out refusal to listen to the community regarding class issues (shaman immediately come to mind). I was reluctant to return to SWG because it is a SOE product after EQ, but I find it refreshing that for the most part, the devs are using the Player Correspondent system and getting things done.
I have already made two server moves since launch. One due to insane bugs on the server not replicated elsewhere, the other due to a few members of a guild that chose to go out of their way to ruin my fun. It stinks having to rebuild from scratch, especially when you were spoiled with solo group payouts. But I have to say, that I am glad I made the move to Valcyn. The community is smaller, more room to do things, Dantooine isn't one single metropolitan area, and just about everybody I have met is great. I'm sure that if you really want to start fresh, you can find it on Valcyn, or even one of the other low populatoin servers.

A couple new servers would be great IMO. Perhaps after episode 3, there will be enough new people coming to the game to warrant the addition of 2 more servers. I would love to start fresh somewhere else, as would a lot of other players.
