I truly appreciate how much work you as developers and moderators put in. You have an impossible job, it is simply not possible to please everybody, yet you try and please as many as you can. For a little while, we didn't get much feedback from developers at all, and Red name posts here were rare and far between. More recently, we see Red names posting much more often, this is awesome, we appreciate it.
However, we still have a problem. For you guys, you look at it as work, as you should. You have schedules, plans, deadlines, and agendas. However for us as players, that is all transparent to us, it's not important to us. What is important is the game, and that we continue to have fun playing the game, after all that is what we pay for.
Sometimes change happens, it may be planned, or it may be accidental, either way it happens. The problem comes when change happens yet it is not clear to us as players why. Especially changes that have a large impact on our gameplay. If change needs to happen, fine, yet at least tell us why.
When a large percentage of the population are asking questions about certain issues, and no comment is made at all, it makes people wonder if either they are being read or ignored. The fact that Red names post "around" such issues, passing them by, makes people feel that these issues are being ignored. Now I understand that as developers you may have a valid reason for not remarking on some issues, however, it really gives the impression that you do not care.
Here are a few examples of current issues that the community as a whole is craying for comments about, yet all we receive is silence. I'm not going to get into details because this isn't an "issues" thread. However, I will happily do so later if you wish.
- Why were the large new bases removed from Publish 13 and the Test center? This answer should be easy, could be a balance issue, could be they were bugged, could be they will be added back in shortly. Instead we get silence. These 2 bases were more awesome then you can imagine to many people. Not only are we dissapointed they are gone, we have no reason why.
- Loot issues. Prior to publish 13 loot was awesome. You can't imagine how great it was to go hunting and get stuff that was usefull. It made hunting fun again. People have been complaining about loot from low levels to high levels, with no response. The closest thing we get to a response is the Krayt loots getting made even worse. Nobody has ever said "yes loot seems broken, prior to publish 13 loot levels will be coming back." Loot is insanely important to people, at least talk to us.
- GCW base imbalance. You simply can't have missed all the posts talking about this. Rebel PVE bases are 5 times harder to kill then Imperial bases. Even if Imps use ATSTs. Their bases can defend themselves and ours cannot. Is this a bug? Is it as designed? I know Imperials who came back solely because of the new GCW changes. When it went live they couldn't believe our bases were so much weaker. They feel the developers want the Rebels to win (just like the movies,) the developers have given them no reason to think otherwise.
I could go on and on with many more issues, however, these are currently the top 3 important yet ignored issues.
Red names are here, Red names are listening and even commenting, but that commenting and listening really seems selective at times.
