Hmm. Not too bad. Quite a suprise to log in and see the different style! 
With the ability to customize it I think I could get used to the compact style.
It looks like the forums on the main page are currently sorted most recent post. I'd prefer the ability to first choose what forums I want displayed, especially for the Professions and Galaxies/Trade sections. While I occasionally check out the forums of other professions, I mostly browse the ones I'm most interested in so I'd like to be able to have those set on a "personal" version of the compact style. For Galaxies, I usually only browse the galaxies I play on.
For the other sections, sorting by most recent post (if that is in fact the way they are sorted) are fine, but for the big sections, I'd want to choose what's in the section. Perhaps the "most recent post" sort if there is any room left after I've chosen my forums.

I love the new portal. Incredibly simple compared to the old layout, I love being able to get to any forum all from one screen now and see the number of new posts in them.
Thanks guys, I think it's going to go down like a treat.

Well thank God, at least its not tolerable.
In light of this, I could get used to this new layout, but only if a feckton more customisation options are put in, ie, I want to be able to remove any sections I dont want, and customise the sections I do want fully.
It was still a terrible way to introduce the system, a weeks warning and some kind of documentation as to HOW you configure the new setup would have been nice.

I would like it if I could move my bookmarks and/or favorite forums to the top.

A quick suggestion Garva; Would it be possible to add options to hide the Accouncements, My Quick Stats, Polls, Quick Links, Notes, Friends, and Users Online sections?
A number of people have complained about clutter, and I believe that an option to remove those "side options" would neaten things up a lot.

How can I change what forums are displayed under each heading? Nothing against chefs, but I have no need to have their forum on my front page -- yummy as their creations are.
Also, while you're changing the forums, can you add date to the search criteria? That'd be astoundingly useful.

I really like it...a lot less scrolling around.
Some things I don't personally care for.
"Top Forums" (most popular I would assume) Wonder if there is a way to put *my* top forums in that list.
other than that it was a shock to log into, but I really like it, much easier to navigate.

Not feeling my "normal self", I'll be brief;
- Loose the "who's online"
- Compact is not too bad, and neither verbose, but need to have choice to
- Let me have my Bookmark and subscription at the TOP
- Need to have more choices on what we want to see (I do not care for "top boards"
- Need to have more choices of where we want to see what
- LET ME HAVE MY BOOKMARK AT THE TOP NOT BOTTOM

I love it. I absolutely love it. Now I don't have to scroll and scroll to find what I'm looking for. It's clear, concise, and colorful.

Yeah, I like it, it is a little more organized, and I can see where the format could really come in handy...it would be better if I could customize the categories. The professions section shows a bunch of professions I'm not and/or am not interested in, the 'Galaxies' and 'Galaxy Trade' sections don't show Sunrunner--not asking for all to be shown, or that Sunrunner be shown to everybody by default (even if we are a great galaxy 
), just that I have the ability to put Sunrunner up there for me; ditto put 'Commando,' 'Teras Kasi', 'Force Sensitive', 'Scout', 'Ranger', 'Marksman', and any other profession I'm interested in where I can get to it with one click. A possibility that might make it easy to solve...can there be a 'Favorite boards' section? Put it right up close to the top, where people can just click on where they want to go to, without needing to dig through various categories.
