Viva la Tiggs! <- before anyone asks, no I'm not 100% sure what that means or if that's even the correct spelling but it was supposed to be a positive comment.

The other thread is locked - not sure why considering it was the first thread on the issue. I don't blame Garva - he is just the messenger.

As for the powers that be - locking the thread will not make us forget. Maybe the community will move on in a week and forget that this ever happened. But maybe we won't. I won't. I am voting with my wallet, and I will remember the reason why I'm not booting up SWG every time I boot up another game and give my money to a different company, hopefully one that isn't so heartless.

I will never forget the audacity of the company that allowed Tiggs to spend an entire weekend as the sole community relations representative taking the heat, working 20 hours a day, and then summarily dismissed her. There are just so many things wrong with that.

Here is a copy of an e-mail I sent to the e-mail addresses of those I believed to be in charge. Please don't ask me to hand out e-mail addresses - it's not going to happen.

Dear Powers that be,

Tiggs is gone and I believe that her dismissal was a huge disservice to the game. To give you a background on me, I’m a two-time correspondent, and participated in all the expansion betas, the correspondent summit, and the NGE testing in the SOE studios.

Tiggs has displayed competence on the job and a genuine dedication to the community. She always posts professionally, and goes beyond the call of duty in staying nights and weekends to post information for the community. During the rough times, such as when unpopular publishes are pushed, she is the sole voice on the community relations team brave enough to continue talking to the community, and takes the endless flames without flinching. She handles the correspondent program efficiently and well. She always understands any given game issue immediately with minimal explanation. She has been available for correspondent questions via e-mail and IM, and answers questions quickly after thorough research. I really can’t say enough good things about her.

I will be canceling my 2 accounts, though I will keep the correspondent account for a while as a courtesy to my community to help them through the NGE. I have been a subscriber since July 2003. I have taken the CU and NGE in stride, but this I will not take. Quite simply, with our biggest advocate gone, I’ve lost faith in the future of the game.

If she was Fired, I am utterly Disgusted with there decision. Tiggs did put her Heart and Soul into the SWG Community. She was the most cheerful Dev around. Even when you knew she would have to be dealing with so many whines, flames, rants, immature bickering day after day, she would Still Complete the job in a Constructive Professional Fun Way. And how is she repaid ? Well....she's gone and that's all we need to know.

Those of you that flame, rant, whine, I hope you consider who your friends are in real life. Maybe you should be more respectful to them, and take the time to be thankful for there support. That is what Tiggs did for this Community, even though so many would doubt her, and flame the hell out of her, she would not bend out of shape.

I have read the Dev tracker just about everyday since I can remember, and there is not One Post that I can recall with a Post from Tiggs that would display the form of hate that was so common from others flaming her. She always kept her cool, strong in mind and spirit, and yet elegant. She would make you smile or laugh if you looked closely. Her forum games, so simple, yet so Creative and fun. Now those will never be the same. There is so much more I could say, but I shall not.

Up to this Point, I have been Neutral with the NGE, I am a very open minded person. I want to give it some time, and see if I can adapt to it like I did with the CU. But part of that Belief was from Tiggs, she was the back bone here, she was a reason to Believe in the future of SWG. Now she is gone, that belief is lost. I now Consider my accounts expired when renewal happens next year, I have lost my Faith in SWG.

I salute you Miss Tiggs. You will be dearly missed. If you plan on staying with SWG, I hope you will at least be able to post on your normal account

None of these changes where instigated by Tiggs and I hate people who say they where, she was Head Community Relations, but had know say really on the overall running of the Star Wars Galaxies project. The way a Development team runs, is quite unique to any other work related team, sometimes you can fell isolated within your department even though everyone is working together for the big picture. IMO, SOE needs a new Producer, Producers make all the key game changing decisions, so their head should have rolled, not a pinacle of the community such as Tiggs.

From my experience in the gaming industry this is quite common.

You will always be one of the bright sparks of the SWG team, you tried your best and worked far above and beyond the call of duty in a very difficult position. Your removal is a stain on the reputation of SOE I'm not sure it will ever clean.

I truly deeply pray you are able to find a new and much more enjoyable position in the near future.
