How bout this, to level the playing field, when they do their (GCW) revamp, pvp armor is faction issued(but crafted by crafters),like a faction recruiter goes to a npc recruiter and ask's what tasks have to be done, the recruiter says we need x amount of storm trooper armor to supply to our troops, crafter make armor getslots offaction points+small cash reward(for rebels) and small faction points+ lotsa cash from imperials(they have the money).

At the same time there are different "qualities" of factional armor, ranging from light to heavy, each having their own advantages and disadvantages, light armor offering minimal protection and very little speed and encumbrance reduction, to heavy armor with very good protection, but high encumbrance and decreased movement speed, with a medium class or two thrown in. This way the factions are "uniformed"...whens the last time u seen the imperial army have composite, ubese, and storm trooper armor in the same battle.....or the rebels at least not having a "similar" look.

And now for the "existing" armors, these armors are for the bounty hunters, commandos and whoever else pve's or choose to engage in duels. this way u have your "Factions" and "citzens of the galaxies completly coverd. How does it sound guys?

From what i know this is lookin pretty cool, im just hoping its instanced like the 'vette so that there is not amillion people camping it every second of every day.

Now onto the Mando armor should be Bh only thing. No it shouldn't. Mandos were not BH's, yes there were a select few, jango fett who was one of the last few, and boba his son (clone) who wears jango's mentor jaster's old mando armorand a few more. The mandos were a mercenery group long since killed off for the most part by the jedi.In this time few if any mando's even exist anymore and a sighting of this armor is just as rare.

The only solution tomaking mando armor available to everyone but not so that everyone and theirbrother has a set is to, as much as people wont like it make it like RISarmor. Oreven better make it strichtly an extremely rare loot like the nightsister biceps.Consideringmost of the people who made or know how to make this armor are long since dead itshould bean extremely rare loot drop (maybe drop an entire set at onse instead of piece by piece or something). Or similar to RIS and require rare looted components like mandalorian ore and such.

Frankly, I could careless about the new dungeon if it's implemented like the genosian caves. I just want this thing to be accessable to all players. It needs to be instanced like the corvette and not a camp / farm fest like the genosian caves. In my opinion, the genosian cave is very well done, except for the fact that it is camped and farmed by a lot of players. If it had been instanced, then it would have been awesome. The diffculty of this dungeon needs to be around the level of the genosian dungeon and not the insane level of the corvette.

DEVs, if your smart and truely listening to the player base, make this an instanced dungeon.

As far as mandalorian armor and the other loot, make is accessable to all players. While mandalorian should not be common place, it should not be the nigh impossible loot that is RIS armor. I do, however, think that only elite combat profession masters, not including Jedi, should be the only ones allowed to wear it. Almost everyone can access it that way and it will act as a reward for the elite combat professions. In addition, if it isn't better than composite, no one will actually use it.

All major content like this should be instanced or it gets ruined by camping. I still havent actually gone through the geo caves because theyre camped to hell and its really not any fun to do quests around a bunch of people that are farming.

loot looks great

I think that the real way to controll how many people equip item x is to have a ton of cool items in the game (devs dont add content fast enough for that though :-/) if there was alot of equally cool armor, weapons, ect there would be less peope using any given item, I agree armor does need a revamp but thats not really what this thread is about

Someone said no non-Bounty Hunters used jetpacks before, but this is false, ARC Clone Troopers do.

As for the armour, here's what I think should be done

1. Mandalorian Armour should only be able to be worn by masters of any combat professions (Smugglers? combat profession? yes, no?). Mandalorian were soldiers, not Bounty Hunters, get this through your thick fanboy head.

2. It should have to be made to fit a certain character, that character should be the only one that can wear that armour.

3. It should not be repairable by anyone but a Master Armoursmith, it's suppose to be very high end armour and I could never see a average "joe" repairing such a master piece of protection with a kit he got from the corner store. Maybe even have a special repair kit made for it.

4. Each suit should be unique just as the real Mandalorian Armor was, say 30 different colours available, 3 colours on each set of armour that would be
50^3= 125000
125000 - 1 = 124999 combinations
(We can't have a Boba Fett clone can we , lol oxymoron, Boba Fett is a clone )

This would also help avoid the current "My 1337 uber comp armour of DoOm is red/black" situation (come on people, be original!).

5. High resist against Lightsabers, see one of the above posts about Vader and Boba.

Forgot to talk about how rare I think it should be, which is very! As we already know, it takes 3 masters to make. This is good, maybe only allow the character to make 1 a week. This would slow down a bunch of them coming out at once.

The dungeon is realy hard for a reason, and yes I think it should be instanced.

This was not ment for 1 p;ayer to venture into. If you do your extremely brave... or stupid. Get a whole suit of Mando Armor? Youd have to split it up with yoiur group, the way I see it hardly ANYONE will have a whole set of it + Jetpack.

A newbie will NEVER be able to get a Jetpack and be "Billy-Bob Fett" around town, its something a very experienced player will recive and they of course will keep it under wraps. I think the mando armor should also decay quickly and the jetpack faster decay ratethan any vehicle.

If under these conditions this armor will be rare and even if 90% of the community got it, they would only have 1 or 2 pieces unless they are EXTREMELY rich.

And this does leave the Casual Gamer out (such as myself). This armor is a HUGE reward for those that spend large amounts of time working at this game.

And the armor shoudl have NO estrictions to class.

Encumbrance houldnt be a problem either, this stuff was built to be durable and easy to move in.

Let me just chime in here for a second. It's hard to sift through all the elitists here.

Anyway, I must say now, Jedi shouldn't be able to use armor, they had no need for it.

Mandalorians were not bounty hunters, they were mercs, the Fetts basically got lucky and were given the armor and it suited their needs.

The armor should NOT be bounty hunter only, nor should it be any specific required. If it is, then not even Jango nor Boba should have been wearing it, which would throw off starwars lore/movies completely.

As far as the armor goes... Who cares if someone/everyone is running around with it? Everyone and their brother's best friend has composite armor, are we complaining? No. Get over yourselves for a minute and realize that there is more than just you playing. So what, you want to stand out, but we all pay the same amount of money to be here.

I may be a newb to SWG, but I'm not an everquest player that sits for hours infront of a dungeon waiting my turn. That's exactly why I love Asheron's Call, I didn't have to wait like that.

Now, anyway, back to the subject, if anything, just make it so you have had to have mastered at least one combat skill, like rifleman or something.

Don't alienate normal players. They pay your bills too.

Ack, hit send too soon, according to those pics it looks nothing like boba/jango's armor anyway, so why are people so worried?

As far as the rocket pack there goes, That one should be for short distances and they should require the other jetpack that Jango used, for long distances.

I am pretty sure that George Lucas must be in a coma. If he's not, he needs to come in here and clean house on all the devs who have pretty much ignored the Star Wars canon.

That's it.

The quest for this armor should a massive undertaking, and require you to do numerous activities.

I think everyone agrees that they would rather be playing then sitting waiting for something to spawn.

IMO the quest should start and end at the Death Watch Dungeon, but there should be things to do and places to visit in order to get a full set. I would like to see a quest that takes a minimum of a month to complete.

Example - Maybe somewhere in the middle of the quest and NPC tells you that some other NPC would contact you sometime in the future. Then maybe a week later you would get an tell/e-mail that a certain NPC would like to see you within the next 24 hours. You go see him and continue your quest. Maybe the next quest would be you need to get 100K of Nightsister faction. And so on.It would be an accomplishment to get the armor instead of who ever can loot the fastest.

I think something of more substance would be great. I really enjoy the Corvette but it has only been out a week and I completed it 5 times and have gotten my 3 imp badges. So now I'm board again.

I think everyone should be able to wear the armor and a long and involved quest would make it more fun to get the armor and maybe keep the amount of armor to a minimum.

Just my thoughts, but I can't wait to get punched in the face by a Super Battle Droid that should be fun.
