Thread: Death Watch Bunker

Any chance of getting a thread for specific feedback and experiences from those who've actually been to the bunker, or if that's the purpose of this one, more heavily moderating it? I've spent a significant amount of time there over the last couple days, and been part of several groups that have made successful forays relatively deep into the complex, and would be interested in commenting on and discussing those experiences, but clearly any chance for productive conversation in this thread flew out the window a long time ago. Seems kind of pointless to put together a post when it's just going to get swallowed up by endless griping and wild speculation about armor no one's even seen yet.

I cant wait to squeeze my fat wookiee butt into the armorwith all the fur sticking out at the joints...yeah that would be cool....but it aint happening....at least hopefully the jetpack can lift us heavier types off the ground..hee hee

To make mandalorian armour, you first need "Bounty Hunter Armor" Which will infact, have nothing to do with player bounty hunters. LOGICAL!

IMVHO, there is no need for even more armour. What needs to be done first is to have all old armour types looked at and completely reworked.


Armour "Shoulds-not's":



  • Should not protect against 90% of all DMG-types.

  • Should not have resists in the 70, 80, 90s.

  • Should not "do nothing" to players.

Armour "Shoulds":



  • Should protect against (2) types of DMG. 1 "primary" and 1 "secondary".

  • Should have resists limited to 60% of base DMG.

  • Should affect abilities. (i.e. Dodging, Speed, Agility, etc.)

And to top it all off: Factional armour should be the absolute best armour in this game. Armour is largely a PVP need, and should be designed as thus.


C'mon Devs: Help us out here. All you're going to do is change the servers from 90% of the population running around in Composite armour, into 90% of the population wearing Mandalorian armour...and the other 10% will still be wearing Composite. Do not add more armour to a system that for all intents and purposes is broken. Fix the armour we have first before you add yet more broken spokes to the wheel...

Ur right we don't want ppl to actually loot good items that would cut into the millions, and millions of credits that the crafters are allready making, we need to make it so that crafters can charge us 100 million credits for a good set of mando armor.

yes i agree this dungeon should also be instanced

i dont want some retards ninja looterslooting everything away

or finishing off creatures i was shooting ect.

Let me see if I understand this right.


Your dont want everyone wearing Mando Armor cause it will be stupid to see *everyone* in the game having it, but yet you dont want to limit it to BH's only cause everyone should be allowed to wear it.....


And you dont want it to be as hard to make as RIS.


So um.....ok....sounds like you dont know what you want.

Mando armo is one of those classic 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' type of subjects for the devs. The complaints are gonna fly whatever they end up doing.


For months folks have been asking if the armor is in the game yet, so the demand is there. At the same time plenty of folks are worried about seeing everyone running around in it.


As long as it's really really hard to get and rare (and stays rare) I'm all for it. This game needs more rare loot IMHO. It's sad to go to the trade forums and the only things most people are buying/selling are high quality resources.....bah.

So, uhm. Anyone who's actually been inside the dungeon/hunted the MOBs/collected the loot want to talk about this?

Who said the DE-10 was going to be a Pistoleer weapon? No one has the cert yet.


Considering the look of the weapon (a colt six shooter) and the Bounty Hunter's new Pistols tree skill title (Desperado), I wouldn't be surprised to see this weapon given to them.
