Thread: Dear Brenlo...
I think what we are seeing is LA taking over control of SWG and pushing SOE into the background.
I think the NGE is strictly a Lucas Arts idea....and SOE has no choice but to go along with it...or lose the money from operating the servers.
After all,the devs working on SOE obviously didn't know this was coming,since this makes Pub24 totally useless...not to mention pulling the rug out from under their revamp plans. And if the devs at SOE HAD known this was coming,don't you think they would have at least started the testing earlier than this? The NGE is more alpha than beta at this stage.
Lucas Arts wrecked KOTOR II and now they get the chance to totally screw up SWG.
Don't bite the hand that's feeding you. With her gone, it might not be poisoned anymore.

I have highlighted the points that refer to what this place is, I have a right to my opinion, and to disagree with yours, and to voice that disagreement mister "High and mighty knows what's best for all general forum posting person" I will not stop simply because you don't like what I have to say

Erm...not everyone. Unlike some people I won't pretend to know who did what to whom for whatever reason. I know Brenlo from my time playing EQ and have never known him to be anything but calm, pleasant and professional.
Unless you have bugs all around SOE, you don't have a clue what happened.
Assuming Tiggs was fired, Brenlo may or may not have been the one to make the decision. The decision could have come from higher up the food chain. Brenlo's boss might have woken up in a bad mood, decided someone needed to be canned today and either done it themselves or passed the buck to Brenlo to do.
And assuming Tiggs was fired, it may or may not have been justified. For all we know stress may have caused her to flip out and slash the tires of every car in the SOE Austin parking lot. She could have gone in the office and tried to set the joint on fire. I'm not saying that's what happened, but I defy you to provide proof to the contrary.
Truth is, we very well may never, ever know. And I won't pretend to know and go jumping to conclusions, ranting and raving against someone who very well could be totally innocent.

I agree though, mauling Brenlo is just as bad as when everyone was attacking Tiggs blaming her for the NGE breaking the game. Next we'll be seeing Brenlo being let go >_>

There is a big difference between coddling and being informative. Everyone has different styles when it comes to communication. Tiggs communication style was for me personally not what I expected. I don't want to see week after week after week of GAT post that have nothing to do what so ever with the game and are all personal conversations. She absolutely should be able to enjoy her time on the boards, however in that position, every post that you make is read by just about every member of the community and using an alternate name would have kept the thousands of personnel posts in a more positive perspective.
She never engaged in a deep conversations about game mechanics, design or issues that where of direct importance to the game. She entertained
and engaged in light heated antics, collecting information from the community and dispensing knowledge and information as she was given it.
Tiggs had a tough job having to deal with this up coming change. She had information about the change before it occured, as did many people.
In a PR position you are the go between and the shield. You set the tone, the mood and the tempo of the community. When she says things like: "The way chat works is not effected" and in fact it is, that is something that anyone who plays the game should have known, it makes you wonder. When she says things like "This has been answered and search is your friend", that is not a response that the CRM should be using. How about "This has been answered "here". When community members are compiling Q & A list and trying to get answers to some very important questions and all that they get is
"It has been added to the list" something is not clicking.
I am not sayin that Tiggs did anything wrong, sometime the fit is just not right. Having the ablity to make people feel good with friendly banter is much diffrent then being a community leader. I never felt that with Tiggs. I kept seeing post after post after post that was fluff. We don't want to be coddled we want to have our issues addressed, questions answered, be informed, be understood and most importantly be respected.
Sometime the fit is just not right, nothing more nothing less.
