It's a little different but I like it. Would it be possible to have this as an option for people who don't like it to go back to the old format? I'd love to keep using it as it makes it easier to surf in my opinion but I know some others don't like it and would prefer the old format. I think we can reach a happy medium on this one with just an option.

I dont mind the new set up, the more options the better.

However:

Could you please move the bookmarks section up to the top as its irritating scoring down everytime i was to visit one of my regular forums.

I think I like it. My thoughts:

-- Making it optional would be great. It's really just a matter of how it looks, right? Allowing it to be chosen, like one chooses a color skin, would be nice.

-- Allowing us to specify our own immediately visible links from the front page. i.e., I don't really need a link to Bria, Farstar, and Sunrunner. But a link to Kettemoor, Starsider, and Bria would suit me nicely. Is there some way to allow us to select our own "hotlinks", so to speak?

-- I like the quickstats on the side.

-- The inbox on the side is kind of neat. I don't think I mind it being called Notes, but it's a bit confusing for some. It just makes me think of passing notes when I was in school.

-- Lastly, good lord, I thought I broke something. I was in one forum, and 10 minutes later I hopped to the main page, and just about panicked!

I like the idea of the new layout, but it has too much information that I really don't care to see. For instance, users online, information about galaxies I don't play on, professions I don't play, and my profile. I also don't care to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find my bookmarks which should be on the very top of the page for obvious reasons.

If you can give us the ability to hide forums/data that is of no interest, this is a nice addition. If you can't, then please go back to the old format or give us the option to do so.

Yes, but there is no option to go back to the old look

I don't need to see 90% of the stuff in this new layout, just give me my Sticky Forums and Dev Tracker.....I sure don't need to see stats about my own profile

I went to customize it and i gotta say thats a sad number of options, but the verbose option for board display is exactly how i want that layed out, with one exception. I liked the last new thread clicky on mine. i was hoping we could change they layout, like moving that right hand column of block to the left , and re numbering thier order.. having that announcement block on the top just looks weird.

I think it looks really cool. But it's a big change. Obviously, it will take some getting used to, but on the overall I like it. I still voted for "I'll get used to it", though, since it will take getting used to.

That really isn't a customize, that's a "how many threads do you want immediately visible" selection.

Customizing would mean allowing me to pick Teras Kasi, Dancer, Musician, and Pikes as my immediately visible profession links, no matter whether they're the "top boards" or not.

That really doesn't count as custom. /tsk GarVa!

Generally I think it an improvement. However, I don't like how bookmarks and subscriptions are at the very bottom. Those are things I've specificailly marks as important to me and they are put on the very bottom under unimportant stuff (I'm certainly not interested that the Bria Tradeforum is the most active as I don't even play on Bria). If those sections could be placed compactly near the top it would be ideal.

It's a bit "busy" for my likeing, however, I think it's a step in a fresh direction. A little tweeking here and there, and It'll be pretty solid.

My suggestion would be to do something with the different categories to seperate them a bit. It's easy to get "lost" through all the links.

all in all, I realy like it though. /hattip!

At first I didn't like it cause it looks to cluttered. But after tuning a few of the settings it managable. But I would like the option to turn off some modules and moving up others. For instance I'd rather move my bookmarks up to the top and all the stuff at the top to the bottom.

Yeah i agree. Alli want is easy access to my bookmarks (as in the threads/boards that i visit the most). Please move the bookmarks section to the top please and move the browse forum section to the bottom, they arnt needed mostly, just occassionally.

Can we hide the users and the top 10 boards? Those are things that take up to much room on mine and I dont need them
