Just so you all are not waiting with baited breath, while I have
reported it and it is being investigated, it will probably not be a
fast fix. It kinda has to do with the way roles work and that they are
not retroactive

Due to the non-retroactive part, the current ranking post is a bit misleading (once again, assuming I am understanding this right)

For example:
Required for rank 21 (Pilot) 12 month minimum 400 post
reads in such a way that I would expect my rank to have changed as soon as I hit both 400 post and 12 months of enrollment

Might it be more clear to write it as:
Required for rank 21 (Pilot) 12 month minimum and 400 post before 18 months
If I got the logic right, it might be worth updating the rankings post... I think it will head off a bunch of questions

Edit: Re-read GarVa earlier post, and made correction

Here here. Maybe then this whole forum nightmare would be a bit more cooperative with FireFox. Oh wait, it would then require a PHP-capable administrator, and I'd bet any odds that people like GarVa are scared to death of Open Source software.

Micro$haft certs are for digital noobs.

Well If you knew me personally you'd know I have a degree in Digital
Media & Web design and am quite familiar with PHP - but that aside,
any forum under the load that SWG forums have would be crippled,
Lithium does have some bugs still but overall it holds up pretty well
under the strain.

LOL web design degree? No wonder you had to settle for working in video games.

UNIX System Administrator FTW. I knew a few of the eventual web design types in college. They flunked out of my program and went to yours. That's cool though, managing the widdle gamer thingy. I guess we can't all have *meaningful* jobs, now can we?

Don't get your panties all bunched up, GarVa. Your biggest shining fault is how poorly you take to a little prodding.

Well, personally I received my Masters Degree in Organizational Management so I did not need to do math and could fire UNIX System Administrators and replace them with Chimpanzees.

It appears I missed one.

Take your pwn'ing like a man and quit flaming the administrator. Also, that last line before the /prods sounds a bit hypocritical.

Possibly an old One star bandit bug where if you had a low star ranking your rank would go down. Seems that the people that had a lower rank due to this do not update properly. *shrug*

This is the Correct Answer.

People who were below the required star rank for a particular title when the star system ended have remained as if they retain their old star level.

See anyone who is now a "Chief Petty Officer" (24 months)and you'll see what I mean. They are updating, but only as if they had kept their under 3.0 star ranking...

The rest of us 24 month forum people have to wait until 32 months now before we change title.
