This will also reduce the amount of clutter so that threds can become more focused and active.
less threads on a topic = more discussion
more threads on a topic = less discussion
Thanks for reading
Why didn't you search the threads, and find an already open one to put this in?
Take your own advice next time.

The simple answer is that recently a lot of threads (more so than other times) are covering the same topics. I posted this as a friendly reminder to the community that the questions you are posting have already been answered in another thread.
Dude, we're both vets and have been on these boards since launch; I'm surprised that someone like you would post this. Oh, don't let me reg date fool you, I've been Starsider since Day 2.
You been on starsider since day 2? You just registered this year...how much interest could you have in the game? Its funny how someone that just started to post has something to say about how other people post...if you dont ike what people post, dont read it!

That's a great idea... adding a search parameter/sort/filter for date in the Advanced Search page.
Yep, and there have been at least 30 threads dedicated to it.

The hard part about searching the threads is getting to the current information. Maybe I am missing something, but I always find it a pain to start with the oldest messages. Maybe if there was some way to specify the order of the search results.
You can do that mind! After you search, click on the title "DATE/TIME". One click sorts it Newest --> Oldest.. clicking it again sorts it Oldest --> Newest

Hehe... Me too. That's what happens when you have over 250,000 registered users on one forum. The main reason people don't want to search is because the search mechanism blows. It's total garbage.
Not because of Lithium or SOE, it's just the sheer volume of people using the forum all at the same time. Not much you can do about it except maybe add more beef to the server but there arebetter places to spend $$$ IMO.
