Login issue seems to be caused by a site cookie with a 1970 expiration date!
If you delete the cookie, a new one is created and the date is fine for a few hours (so you don't have to keep logging in), but eventually, the cookie expiration date goes back to Jan 1st 1970.
I've PM'ed the site admin about this. Hopefully it gets fixed soon (seems easy to fix)

It's a pain that the forum keeps forgetting the saved user information, forcing people to log in each time instead of staying logged in.
