Thread: Do you log in from someplace out of the norm?
Well, I started playing SWG the first time while I was stationed in South Korea but a bit more northish with the Bols! LOL
But the South Korea thing is true.
I've logged in to play in Heathrow airport (that's London, England) - the British Airways executive lounge (they have a wifi hotspot there).
I always picked a place near to a wall so that I could plug in my laptop (the battey only lasts a couple of hours - delayed flights ftw), and also with my back to the wall, no-one could see what I was doing!
It is almost 8:30 pm and I am sitting next to the Bay of Bengal in my Sea Side Cottage in the Taj Fisherman's Cove hotel watching and listening to the sound of the waves pound the sand. This place is just a short drive south of Chennai , India. I am working on my FS experience. Game runs just fine on the wireless network they have at the hotel.
The tempis about 80 degrees and the water is warm.

The most unnormal place?
It must be when I last summer sat on a bench in the middle of the city, playing on somebodys WLAN which wasn't encryptet. I sat there in the sun for like two hours playing and people who went by looked at me in a veeery strange way.
If you are going hunting with your guild and you have some things to do in the city and not enought time to go home and then back again, there is no other alternatives but to play in the city 
(btw, I've just been lurking on this board before but, it is just me or doesn't this board work with a real web browser? (read: Firefox, not some crappy internet exploder)
The 1st, I logged in and played for a few minutes from somewhere in the desert, in the middle of a sand storm, in between Kuwait City Baghdad Iraq via an INMRSAT) connected to a modified Alienware laptop. Most expensive gaming I ever did.
The 2nd was from a helicopter while testing the effectiveness of a similar system, although the lag was too great to move, I did manage to login and was able to chat.
The 3rd was from Moscow, Russia via an Iridium Satellite phone back to a server in the United States.
Now sure which one is the most “unnormal” you guys decide.
PS Do not play from your bathroom, your legs will go numb!

Oddest place for me was a Telephone company Centreal Office in the middle of a huricaine. We had to stay and watch over the equipment and save what we could if it flooded!

how do you use your cell phone to get access?
But then, most wierdest... or wierd... uh...oh, during trick-or-Treating last year. Took my laptop around the neighborhood (because I had to watch over my little brother and his wierdo friends) and logged in, lol.
