With a recent update, lithium has provided an option for a new type of "forum home page" in a portal layout. We are going to turn it on for the weekend and also put a poll up to see if people like it. Please feel free to post your feedback here

Even if you like it, it will take some time getting used to it so please give it a try first!

Yea, according to my other thread (which you can delete if you think it's redundant now

) I said I didn't really like it at first

but looking back on it now it made sense, having everything I use right there on the main page. I'm such a dolt like that

Also, if it does turn out that people don't like it, is there a toggle to change it back?

I thought the idea of skins was so that you could have consistancy ??? and not changing layouts (that's the job of a new skin)

Time for constructive (and destructive) comments.

Get rid of most recent users online (who cares about that)

Top Boards, well i'm not interested in everything Bria or Jedi (i guess if i was then it would be important - but i'm not, so would like ability to switch it off)

My server is set to starsider, so why don't i see starsider galaxy trade as one of the quick links for the galaxy trade ? (prolly because the new post count ain't high enough)

Why is the section with private messages called 'Notes'

Dev Tracker is not apparant any more

Anyway, can you get them to fix this damn post editor, as you can get style tags inserted into it by using the indent etc and then you can't post because of the forbidden style tags.

I think I like it. Always good just to have something new. It fits some of the longer lists like Prof's in to a smaller area I think thats great and the location of the user info on the right is a better place than the top.

It needs a bit of organising, right now the whole field of links is a bit messy on the eyes.
(perhaps a bit more usage of different font sizes, like for the friends list)

I like it except that there is no easy way to get to the dev tracker except from the front page.

It scared me, I thought the page broke..

yup..it looks nice,
format is easy but I am used to knowing exactly whereI am about to click..so will have to retrain myself with this new layout.

Want to be able to customize columns

Would like my bookmarks where notes sits, and leave notes in the icon.

Do not like being thrown back to home page at posting.
