When I try to update my sig. I get a note in red that says, "You don't have permission to have simple HTML in your signature." Well, I know that's not true because down at the bottom next to the sig. it says, "In this area you can specify your own personalized signature. The text or images displayed here will be shown at the bottom of every message you post. This field supports HTML. Speak with your forum moderators for details about acceptable content in your community."
What's changed that my signature is now illegal? Thanks in advance.

same here, I'm trying to change my sig to say Pistoleer instead of Rifleman.. Did deleting the sig completely then re-creating work? I can't do a simple edit due to that error.

You cannot have "style" in your html. Also, lithium sometimes complains if you have poorly formatted html....for example
< b >< I > this is bold and italic < /b >< I >
might throw out an error on occasion.

Style, CSS, Images, Background colour, table, and letterspacing are all banned tags.

Ok thanks for the info I got it.....Got any good websites that have html codes for any font you want? I just used front page and changed all the banned stuff manually before I copied and pasted, but there has got to be a better selection of font out there somewhere![]()
You could try NVU it's free software and based on the mozilla software that also brought us the joy of firefox and thunderbird.

the arrow and = characters combined like that are being read as html, so you will need to change that part

I'm not sure what "<=""=>" would be in HTML. I can imagine it's simalar to the comment tag - They embedd a message that's not rendered by the HTML engine (Browser)
EG, you could put
GarVa Smells!!!!
-!>
And anybody looking at the source of the page could see it.
