Jedis can't block grenades, I haven't fought a Jedi yet with because I'm not master but I'd like to take a crack at one with TKM/Master Commando

To answer the original poster, No. As you well know, the DPS (damage per second) on the flamethrower is fairly low, youre going to miss with it quite a few times and the Jedi is going to be in your face with a lightsaber the entire time because you cant really run around with the flamethrower without your accuracy going to crap.
Im a 0444 Commando on one character and a Jedi that is a 4114 Saber, 2203 Healer, 2204 Enhancer and a Novice Defender. My Jedi could carve my Commando up.. at least until the flamethrower is put away and the VK's come out. The DoT of the flame just isnt high enough, i can heal all the damage and the wounds on the fly if I have to.

not to mention I believe Jeeedaaai can block Flamethrowers... :-(

It is good against the unwary jedi. If you hit em hard and fast, commando is one of the nastiest attack professions out there. using the /aim command and some snow cake will make you hit more and if you chomp on some steak you can absorb most of their dmg. I will lose in a duel against a jedi almost all the time (unless they are stupid and don't put any points into healer), but i haven't lost yet when i surprise attack a jedi (4 dead jedi since i snagged 3/0/0/0 BH 3 days ago)
Jedi can block the flamethrower... but the DOT stays... and the DOT stacks... something to take into effect, almost tempted to take up BH pistol 4 so i can stack 4 burns on one person.

Not arguing with ya mate, but do you know this for a fact? I am hearing that for some reason the flame will not stick on Jedi if they block it unlike the other profs (i.e. pikeman's block, pistoleer's dodge, carb's counter etc). Have you confirmed that it will still stick on Jedi? Just looking to see if anyone has had any burn not stick from a flamer.
An extra note to think about is 4 burns stacked and 2 bleeds stacked as well if you have novice pistoleer...

The best profession against jedi is TKA they own them. Even jedi I talk to admit it. And with MTKA and MC thats like knockdown, burn, tka attacks= dead jedi lol

That is how it used to be. It depends if you actually stick the dizzy on the Jedi and they stay down for an extended period of time. Because if they get up while you still have your FT equiped, your doomed.
