Brannoc - *Jordan|Starsider* i got a question to submit.. Don't you Feel it ruins the Star Wars feel along with the sync of the timeline to have Player Jedi ingame?

Anyone got a strange urge to bonk Haden? I did...cause Jedi is one of my -least- fantasy in the Star Wars Universe (and no, leia wasnt the most you fools!! /bonk)
No, being an elite soldier in the alliance and shootings lot of imperials and using cool and futuristic gizomos, weapons, and gadgets was. This is tied with being a pilot..flying starships and dogfights and stuff (my 3rd Star Wars game ever was X-Wing!, my 2nd ever was DarkForces, my 1st ever was Rebel Assault 1)
I liked Kyle...I liked being a republic commando...LOVED the idea, and that has greatly influenced what I write in stories and such now-a-days.
And also..not surprisingly...but he drinks Vodka too...heh...(and TH nerfs it! bahaha)
Also...hehe...Justg said he loves wookiees...he said he loved commando....hmmm! Connection?
And in other news...seeing Mandalorian Armour come out to be a clown outfit...heh..would be interesting, I'd pity the poor bloke that got it!
Seriously tho...Im a bit happy they're looking into the Politician/City stuff....today I learned that some guy in our city (who was there before in the old city, which we reformed..and was inactive for a month) is now blackmailing us for money to move his house...
As well..with the thoughts of controlling the jedi....I'd love to see them make FT unblockable....beef up our gernade accuracy...and let Jedi get a great shot at killing em....plus make a Jedi trap that can be a loot schematic for rangers! Nevertheless..I so seriously want to kill some jedi....make them hide again!

I dunno, I kinda think that jedi are a core aspect of Star Wars, regardless of timeline myself, and that they should be well-represented within the game.
With that said, I think there should be certain... measures taken to discourage public flaunting of jedi status, which would be suicide normally during this time, such as:
- TEF given as long as you have a jedi robe equiped, it lets everyone know your a jedi, so they should be able to treat you as such. This way, jedi don't run around all the time wearing clothes that scream "I'm a jedi!" all the time at public starports and stuff, unless they have a deathwish. Maybe they can wear some actual clothes for a change, muahahahahah!
- TEF given for lightsaber being equiped... though only at a certain power level maybe? It's hard enough even after the revamp for novice box jedi, so some leniencey should probably be shown earlier on. Maybe for Gen 3+ sabers?
- Fixed bounties that scale to jedi level (which is being worked on, from what I hear.)
A few changes like that would go a long ways towards keeping jedi fun and playable, while maintaining continuity. Either that, or maybe change the TEF's to mean that robes can only be equiped while overt (as I'm still kinda iffy on the saber thing, since it makes grouping with jedi for events a lot easier when you don't have to worry about AE stuff hitting the jedi.)
And just to play devil's advocate....
Kyle was a jedi too.

Now that I've read that chat, I think they revived their original plan (from pre-beta) and have an even better solution...
Brannoc - *ClonerStive* Is there any future plan to keep jedi rare? As said before, in this time period, Jedi are almost extinct. However, there are many jedi and they are commonly seen.
justG - Alot of people want to play Jedi. But we want to find different ways to control the population and keep them hidden. Maybe a visit from Vader would do the trick... >:-)

StarNick I know what you are saying concerning the Jedi aspect of the game. I myself play the roleplaying game and really enjoy the veriety of what I can do. I would like to see more in the game in SWG concerning somthing that would give it a more starwarsy feel that is in no way related to the Jedi nor the GCW.......I take that back it would be nice to see some more content for the GCW, but something to incorrperate us for simply being a citizen. I know I know what some people may say next "then join a faction" you are right, but, what do we have so far for us. Themeparks,factions.........guilds...........ummmmm what else? I know that I am leaving quite a bit out but think about what other stuff you yourself would like to see in the game that isn't specific combat related that will effect everyone.

The devs seem to have given up completely on continuity, which I wouldn't mind so much if they would just admit it. I really wish they would have made the setting for this game during the clone wars, or some other time so they could have at least justified having this many jedi.
