But now i dont know what it is? I thought it was for Damage. But the weapons i see my Crab Alt has higher damage output lower sac and Better all around abilites.

So tell me what Mind set should I have for commando. Always liked the Prof. Wanna keep it. But I need to know what My job in the profession is. What I should figure my weapons should be used for. Im Master Rifles Going to Master commando and have alittle of the BH.

Any Advice and answers would be Great.

Im not sure Im qualified to comment, as Ive only been Master commando for a couple of months, but tonight i had a blast in a group with him.

Theres just something so cool about the whole thing. the sound of the flamer, huge chunks of health dropping of f mobs (I use rifle specials). 10 mobs stood there burning :-)

My mind set (as MCom/ 4404 Rifles/ Nov BE) is just to stand there and burn / blow chunks out of everything in my path.

Im sure some of the older commandos can express it better...does "BooYa!" do it?

To get back on topic for u jafo...

Ive been a commando for approximately 1 year and 6 months (not since i started because It took me a while to figure out what i wanted) First off, my main will never get rid of commando. Every once in a long while i change the back up to it, but my MCommando Tag has been there for as long as ive had it. That being said I feel qualified to answer this, but be aware this is actually a very big debate as some may disagree (and I respect those opinoins as well, only I have my own to this). In my travels, battles, and deaths throughout my time in this game I have learned we seemed to be looked at as a totally supportive role (even though according to the CU we are more of something else forgive me for not memorizing the whole new structure )

Commando still seems to be a supportive role, but if mixed well with another profession (yeah we have no skills and borked area dots ho hum) you can make your commando a tank but be aware if you choose to do this you will need to add some CM or DOC to your temp because you cant always rely on your group having a healer.

All in all, however, if your strictly commando, using commando weapons you will still (more than likely) end up being support. Dont frown on this though because believe it or not Commando has always done well as support. All i mean by this is when helping someone else out we've always been fine, but alone we havent always been the last one standing. So, from my personal experience if you want to tank, you can try it as a commando and it does work effectively if u can heal (My commando rarely wears armor when hunting, I only use it when I fight high end aggros and such because I dont rlly need it), if you dont mind being looked at as support (which i dont) you can also go that route seeing yourself in the group as that.

Note: However after CU hit, because all our weapons (has anyone found even one Commando weapon that doesn't dothis... I cant say for sure but I think even my proton rifle does it) Area hit, and therefore aggro, if you instead chooseto be support do so in a high level spin group or know how to constantly keep your weapon away from a large portion of the aggros (which is a pain but can be done)

So, my conclusion as I see it, we can be support or we can be Tank, its all about your template, will, and unfortunately willingness to HAVE to use up all your SP to make you good. Those are my thoughts, feel free to disagree.
