Last weekend me and a couple of guildies over on Shadowfire ended up having a mass brawl on the roof of our PA, each of us duelling one another in turn, and when I got around to duelling one of the other guys who has some commando in his template I noticed something odd :
My initial duel had been against a CM, so I'd gone to the trouble of finding poison / disease resist buffs, which lasted about 90 minutes. My duel against my commando buddy was about an hour into the proceedings, so it was still active at the time we locked horns.
For reference, my template is M Fencer / Commando 0040 / Pistoleer 0040 / TKA 0004 and some FS skills, which as any seasoned templater will realise means I have some very high defenses and dodge.
So the fights begins, I have a baton equipped and I'm running a CoB macro (my usual tactic, especially against other commandos knowing how bad our defenses are, is to dizzy / KD and then burn them with my flamer), I'm pretty sure this buddy of mine is getting a couple hits in over the course of the fight, but not a single burn DoT.... in the end he's lying incapped at my feet with not even a hint of wounds on my health bar to show for it.
Now at this point I'm thinking he just didnt hit me (having not paid much attention to any burns on me during the fight) and that my defenses are the reason behind this, but this changes about 40 minutes later when I duel this same guy plus another guy at the same time.
By now the disease / poison resist buffs have worn out and my commando buddy is having no problems laying the burns on me, despite me still running a CoB macro, and by the end of the fight I'm sporting nearly 800 health wounds.
The only conculsion I could feasibly come up with was that the resist buffs that I had during the first fight in some way altered the sway of battle when it came to the commando dots..... and thats why I'm throwing this out to the community; has anyone else noticed this at all ? Was it just a one off glitch which will (hopefully) never be repeated, or haveI inadvertantly stumbled across what could possibly be quite a major bug when it comes to our only functional method of attack ??
