Im looking at investing in an uber flamer. Right now I have extremely decent ones - But I want a legendary one. However - being rusty - can anyone give the details on how to achieve this. The whole Krayt tissue and specs - good places to get em, stocks, barrels, are they actually made with it by a WS or is it just a powerup. Chime in please.

Legendary weapons are dropped from high level NPC's. I think I've heard of one Legendary Flamer...but if I remember right it was a screenshot that was debated. As far as getting a UBER Flamer, my best advise is to go on a few Krayt hunts...we can do pretty good with hit and run, but getting looting rights is sometimes tough depending on your template. I collected several back in the day and got a pretty cool Flamer out of it (DON'T tell anyone I used Krayt Tissue on a tank droid...shhhh!).
I chose speed for my flamer, and she's pretty faithful. Good Luck! Who really knows what changes are comming down the pike, so get one you like while you can but realize your investment might change once CU hits...might not though.

Right now, faster flamethrowers have the higher DPS (with a few exceptions). You can get near 3.0spd - 3.3spd preslice using -.85 or lower tissues. I never have any luck with hunting Krayts, so it's good to keep an eye out on your galaxy's trade forums.
Look for sets of 5 to make one flamethrower or sets of 9 to make two. Most of the tissues I see with -.85 spd have dmg of around 50, and since most other professions are looking for damage, they can go for relatively cheap. I nabbed a set of 11 -.86 tissues for 5mil, I think (sounds like a lot, I guess, but I've seen sets of a 11 go for much more).
After attaining some nice speedy tissues, you'll want to find some Imperial Form-Fitted Stocks (about 200k each, one per flamethrower) which also help with speed.
For barrels, unless you have some awesome looted high accuracy barrels, just ask your weaponsmith to use regular (non-ADV) barrels. With those you'll be about .1 faster for only losing about 10dmg or something like that.
