Hey Garvin - Im kinda saving my points till after this thing happens and am now curious. Having M Commando - can you reapply those points wherever you want them - even if you havent currently had them invested in a proffession before? Or is it kinda you can reinvest in prior professions you want to go back to? How does this work? - Even the most cryptic answer will work for me - I just dont know if I should keep grinding or wait or save em or what - whats your take on this - chime in, its not your Bday yet lol!

Not sure on exactly how the re-allocate thing will work but I have some guesses...first of all it will be a 1 time thing....and I'm guessing it will be based on how many points you've already spent...so if you just started a new character and only used 15 points...then that's all you'll get to re-allocate...but if you've spent 250 points (or close to it) you'll be able to respend all those points...

TH told us awhile ago about the re-allocate thing...but I'm not even sure he knows how it will work at this point...

Can I tell you guys that the re-allocate thing was one of the hardest secrets to keep...especially when folks kept saying "should I go this route or this one?" or "should I keep this or drop it"...it doesn't matter what you have now because you'll be able to re-invest later if you want to...

But like I've said before...I'm keeping my main with M.Commando/MTKM....so I won't be re-allocating that one...

I am very excited to read the posts made about the changes. I am here to ask a few questions as my alt. is a Commando.

I read through the complete list of posting and saw nothing refering to the amount of lag that we have in the game now. I used to have problems only when I had to go into large cities, now though it will hit in the middle of no where. The reason I bring this up is because I feel it is an important thing to keep in mind when setting up your template. Currently I am a Master Commando/Master TK and in 1 on 1 PVP in areas where the lag isn't too bad I do very well. I also participate in base raids and base defending. These are generally large groups of players and the lag gets so bad you are dead before you can make a move. I have had to stay back in open areas to avoid the lag which means my Launcher pistol is my best weapon. I was going to pick up more ranged skills so I could compete outside of the lag. I still get lag but not nearly as bad as when I am close to the main group. Then I read though that defense stackers would be addressed, I am confused now as to how players like myself are going to change thier templates and not stack defenses. This I am sure I will get the answers in time as to how stacking will be handled. My main concern for now is the lag and is there anything short of changing professions that can be done. I enjoy the Commando profession and would like to keep it so any help here at all would help me decide what to do.

I would just like point out how bad this has become. I was on last night with four other guild members. I was on Endor and the lag hit me so bad it took 15 min. to go 100 m, another guild member was on Naboo on his way to Moenia he hit the lag at the same time he ended up loosing his connection. We had a member in space and he was having no problems until he landed and could move. I feel that this is going to impact alot of players as they try to figure out how they want to set up thier char. for the new combat system. I am asking so I can advise my fellow guild members as most of them don't read the forums.

I love having terrain negotiation, so I am going to pick up the carbine and pistol lines of bounty hunter so that I can use other non-consumables more effieciently.

ok, the skill thing sounds confusing, so we should probably wait on that one. what about the actual skills? how will that work?

Just read more on how it the re-allocate thing will work...

First off, it will be a ONE time thing...so save it until you are ready to use it (I wouldn't use it the first day...see how it works for other people)...

Second, it will allow you to respend the skill points you have ALREADY spent anywhere (non-Jedi) that you want...So if your template is currently 247 points, you'll have 247 points to re-allocate...but if you just started a new character and only spent 15 points, you'll only have 15 points to re-allocate...

Third...From the sound of it, you may be able to "save" your re-allocate privilege for later use...it will probably be activated with some sort of /reallocate command...So you might be able to play one style for a couple of weeks, then use your re-allocate to refresh the game...

TH and Tyrant both made a point to say that Jedi skills will NOT be re-allocated...that's probably because they work on 2 different systems and something to do with the whole unlock thing...Not clear on the FS thing, but I'm guessing if you have FS mods, you just keep those as is while you re-allocate everything else...

None of us really know...just that we'll be able to re-invest our hardworn skill points into whatever we choose...specifics? Haven't been worked out. Remember, the Sandbox is a good month or more away...open beta longer than that, actual publish to live? Early next year....

We're still in the early stages...more information concerning a re-allocation will most likely be released a bit later on.

Also, since its based on how much SP you've spent (speculative), my hunch would be it may not just pertain to combat profs...(speculative)
