- Timers are to be modified so that when a commando heavy weapon is fired (all commando weapons exceptproton rifle and grenades and launcher pistol) , the timer will be applied to all heavy weapons.


-Adjust stats of commando heavy support weapons (particle beam cannon, heavy lighting cannon, acid stream launcher, rocket launcher) weapons to be long fire delay but increase the damage by same factor. For example, take Speed of weapon and multiply it by six, take damage of weapon and multiply it by 6.


- Remove CONE effect of heavy support weapons. Commando has area effect abilities with its grenades and has cone attack with flamethrower and acid rifle. With the above changes the heavy weapons become the heavy hitters. Exception: Rocket launcher remains AOE damage+KD upon impact.


-Return the missile-smoke animation from pre-CU to the rocket launcher. Really, PLEASE. Seeing the rocket streak towards target is much cooler than seeing a fireball headed their way. I saw plenty of those in Quake and Unreal Tournament. *Yawn!*


- Shorten range of commando flamethrowers and acid rifles to be 25m range.


Modify flamethrowerto be low damage (max damage stats: 400) and slow refire delay (multiply speed by 3). Make fire dot from flamethrower *ALWAYS*stick (its a flame thrower people!) and dot dotwice the damage and last three times as long it does now (aka multiply dot damage by3 and dot duration by 3).


Acid Rifle should receive an ARMOR BREAK effect instead of blind and its range reduced to 25m range. Its other stats are fine as they are now.


- Make Proton Rifle a craftable weapon (wepsmiths have schematic)requiring unique components which are quest rewards for master-commando only quests. If you could make an npc talk only to smugglers to give a quest, then you can make an npc talk only to master commando title holders. And make those quests be commando-related..not this idiotic jedi thing on god-mode that requires a full group of jedi knights to kill thatdrops theriflefrom now.


- Modify Launcher pistol to have snare effect similar to crippling shot. Leave the damage low as it is now, increase pistol range to 60m.


- increase grenade damage to three times the amount it does now. Max grenade delay should be 12 seconds at master box, 17 seconds at grenade box4.



Master Box Special Ability: Fast March - Re-use timer:8 minutes. Duration :2 minutes. Effect: Removes all movement encumbrances from Commando (armor movement encumbrance, ranged weapon wielding encumbrance) and provides + 50 terrain negotiation boost.




With the above changes to the current commando, the commando player will be a hard-hitting, aoe capable combatant that is not overpowered. Its specialty is long range very high damage but with long refire delay (via heavy support weapons), medium range AOE high damage + effect inducer via grenades (on a 12 second timer) and a very strong short range assault specialist via low damage but high damage fire dot in cone and an excellent short range support cone fire combatant via acid rifle providing armor break effect on target.


The commando player will no longer be a flamethrower monkey because thats the only weapon that has any effect on the game (which has always been the curse of the commando). The commando will havea wide variety of weapons and capabilities at his disposal... a capability that can be used in many different ways. Not just equip flamer and use other proffession specials (face it, why use a rocket launcher or a proton grenade to KD when charge shot with the flamethrower does it better and without the extremely laggy long delay in switching weapons to do that??)
